Twenty Years Later...
Sarah Hatake was a happy woman. She had everything she could ever have wished for in life. She had a husband that absolutely adored her. As she laid curled in his arms after yet another vigorous romp in the bed, her mind was rolling over the life she had lived. Her life had been one of ups and downs but overall, it had been a good life... it was continuing to be a good life.
Besides being married to the man she had loved since she was a child, she had five children of her own and four grandchildren! She had been shocked when she had found out she was pregnant the first year of her marriage, most likely from the first time she and Kakashi had been together.
Tiberius James Hatake had come into the world almost nine months after she was married. Kakashi had been a nervous wreck the entirety of her pregnancy because the seals were always weaker during the pregnancy; however, true to his word, Isobu remained at peace even when the seals weakened. Not even ten months after his birth, Trinity Ocean Hatake came into the world. Both children favored their father, except Trinity did share a few of Sarah's physical features but overall... they were Hatake's through and through. Right down to their skills. They had both given her more heart attacks than should be allowed.
Orion and Neo also had their twins almost at the same time as Tiberius was born. It had been an almost surreal experience being pregnant at the same time as her son's wife! Kai and Sora Uchiha were both talented beyond measure. They had definitely given Neo a run for her money more times than she could count. Kai was like his grandfather had been during his youth that Sarah wondered sometimes if Obito had been reborn as his own grandson. Sora on the other hand was just like her mother. She had inherited the same visual Jutsu and had a stubborn streak a mile long. No one got one over on Sora.
Phoenix had grown into a beautiful young woman and married an ANBU not long after her eighteenth birthday. That had been one hell of a ride and Sarah still swore the bulk of her gray hair came in due to that whole escapade. She loved her son in law, Javin, but she thought she was going to kill him before he finally won her over. Even Kakashi had wanted to take his head off at one point but... they had a wonderful marriage and had given her two additional grandchildren only just recently.
Melissa and Iruka had gotten married not long after the whole Isobu incident and had five children! Two sets of twins with a tag along within a five-year stretch. Melissa admitted to her that Iruka couldn't keep his hands off her long enough to not get pregnant. Only menopause had stopped the flow of children, or it might have been more.
All of their children were the best of friends... except Melissa's youngest, Kaiko, was a little too obsessed with Tiberius. Sarah wondered if they might end up becoming in-laws one day with those two... although Tiberius was rather adamant that she made him absolutely crazy and spent a good portion of his free time avoiding her.
Time would tell.
Kakashi nuzzled her neck, dragging her out of her thoughts. "What are you thinking about?"
"Just reflecting on how happy I am." She smiled slightly, "Have I told you recently that I'm glad that you busted me for using you as inspiration for my books recently?"
Kakashi chuckled, "Hmm. Seems like I've been your inspiration for several more since then."
"Well... as fantastic as you are in the sack, how can you not?"
Kakashi laughed as he turned her around to face him. His lips hovered above her own, delight in those gray eyes of his. "How do you feel about trying something... different?"
Sarah's brows shot up at the words, "Oh? What possibly could we try that we haven't already?"
"Three words..." he said with a wicked gleam. "Shadow..." His lips brushed her own, "Clone..." She squealed as he finished with "Jutsu" just before a poof sounded in the room. He was always full of surprises.
