Natasha arrived home with a smile on her face. Yes Wanda was from the rival kingdom, that her father absolutely hated but maybe she would see her at the ball.

She couldn't stop thinking about her voice and the angelic structure of her face. Even Wanda's smile was perfect.

Natasha thought about going back tomorrow but knowing her father he wouldn't let her. She loved him but he was infuriating. Always controlling and never letting her and Yelena talk to other kingdoms unless he had arranged it.

He wanted to marry both girls off to the closest allies their kingdom had.

But alas, Melina refused, proclaiming they were too young and that they should get to choose who they would marry.

Natasha was thankful for her mother. The people loved her as she showed a lot more love and passion than Alexei ever had.

With one last sigh of content, Natasha fell back onto her bed, falling asleep with a wide grin.

A loud knock at the door interrupted the peacefulness of Natasha's bedroom. The soft snoring came to a halt as she woke up.

"Who is it?" She asked.

"Yelena. Mum wants you to come to breakfast. Also Dad will be there." Yelena's voice spoke from behind the door.

"I'll be out in a bit. How long do I have?"

"Like five minutes." Yelena shouted through the door once again.

"For the love of - I'll be out in a second."

Natasha jumped up from her bed and ran to her wardrobe. She quickly picked out some lounge day clothes. It was just a loose fitting black dress, that some would consider as pyjamas.

She quickly brushed her hair and went into her personal bathroom to brush her teeth.

"Hurry up Nat. We're already late." Yelena yelled.

Gosh she's annoying. Natasha thought to herself before washing her face.

She walked out of the bathroom and opened her bedroom door.

"Finally, now let's go." Yelena said impatiently, she didn't even wait for Natasha and started to walk away.

"Thank you for your kind words, sister." Natasha said sarcastically. Yelena just laughed and continued down the hall.

Natasha sighed and followed.

The hallways were dimmed with grey light coming through the windows. Light clouds filled the sky hiding the sun behind them.

The walls had plain wallpaper on them that any child would love to draw on.

The castle was boring and sometimes Natasha would stare at the empty spaces on the walls and imagine the possibilities of paintings that could fill the area.

They arrived at the dining room. Alexei was sitting at the head of the table with Melina in the seat next to him. Yelena quickly made her way over to them and sat next to Melina whilst Natasha sat opposite her.

"Sorry we're late, someone took forever to get dressed" Yelena said, emphasising someone.

"You gave me five minutes. It's hard to get dressed in that amount of time."

"It's really not." Yelena argued.

"It is." Natasha answered back

"Isn't"

"Is"

"Girls." Their mother interrupted. "Stop bickering. Now Natasha, have you made a decision."

"Yes, I will go. It sounds fun." Natasha looked down at the soup that was placed in front of her. A smile crept onto her face when she remembered that Wanda would most likely be there.

"What made you so happy?" Her father questioned, finally paying attention to what was going on around him.

"Nothing, just thinking about a book. That reminds me, can I go out tonight? I kind of want to explore the woods." She had a sheepish smile as she watched him contort his face as if thinking. But alas she knew the answer would be no.

"Why would you want to do that? Our enemy is on the other side of the forest. They could kidnap you." Melina rolled her eyes at his stupid answer.

"I'm sure she'll be fine, Alexei. Natasha can defend herself can't she." Alexi looked at his wife and nodded.

"Well of course she can." He let out a sigh before looking back at Natasha. "I guess you can go out. Make sure to be back before dark though."

"Thank you." Natasha began to eat her soup.

"Can I go out too? I want to explore the forest. I want to see the firefly's." Yelena stated. Natasha rolled her eyes. That meant she wouldn't be able to meet with Wanda again.

"We have to go to town today, Yelena. I told you this last week." Melina explained. Yelena huffed and went back to her soup.

"Well that's no fun."
