When she got back to the castle, Wanda immediately went to the library. It was a peaceful place where you could be consumed by a book and forget about everything in the world.

She went over to the corner Pietro had claimed as his own. They hadn't changed anything since his death. Although he didn't read frequently, when he did, the stories were amazing and loveable.

Wanda took a moment to breathe before she picked up the book Pietro told her was his favourite over and over again.

It was a book called Red white and royal blue. He could talk hours on end about the plot and the characters. The fact that it was an enemy to lovers or that it was a man loving man book.

He never hid the fact he was queer nor did Wanda. The kingdom was supportive and accepting of everyone who was queer no matter what their sexuality or gender identity.

Wanda loved that about them. Always so open to new things and ready to learn.

She opened the first page of the book as she sat in the used bean bag that he had.

There was a small slip of paper stuck into the spine of the book to mark the page. Intrigued, she took it out and opened it. It was a note.

Hey Wanda, so you finally decided to read this book eh? I want you to be happy and know that I'm in a better place. And remember sis, I will always love you

(Platonically of course, incest is gross - remember that)

Also I bet you didn't see this coming.

Tears pooled at the corners of Wanda's eyes and a fond smile made its way to her face.

"This little shit." She muttered, accent thick in her voice as she stared at the note.

A knot caught in her throat and she tried not to cry. The tears fell from her eyes slowly. She stood up and went to her mother's favourite aisle. Wanda plucked her mother's favourite book from where it sat on the shelf.

She couldn't help but smile as she looked down at the worn book in her hands.

She opened it to the first page and saw a similar note.

Hello sweetie, it's been a while hasn't it? Have you been taking care of yourself?

I miss you and want to make sure you're happy.
You're probably wondering why I wrote this. I wrote this Incase I died. Maybe I'm not dead but if I am. I want you to know I love you.

So anyway, how are you? You finally decided to go to my aisle of the library. I hope you read this book. It's amazing.

A sob left Wanda's throat. A sad smile on her face as a few years streamed down her face.

"How did she know?" Wanda mumbles as another sob threatens to escape her mouth.

She closed the book and grabbed Pietro's before heading back to her room. She decided she could read her dad's note later if he wrote one.

It was now half past four in the afternoon and Wanda had spent most of the time in her room reading. She had got half way through Red White and Royal Blue before deciding to go out to the lake.

She brought the flower she bought earlier and smoothed out her dress. She also put on a pair of doc martens that didn't really match the light yellow dress she had on but that didn't matter.

On the other side of the lake sat Natasha, book in hand and her red hair put into a braid whilst some of her hair fell out to frame her face

Wanda couldn't help the small smile that formed on her face as she made her way over.

"Hello again." She greeted me.

Natasha looked up from her and smiled.

"Hi. Who's the flower for?" She asked, looking at the vibrant colours of the bluebell.

"Oh erm. You." Wanda nervously holds the flower out to Natasha.

"Thank you." She smiled wider with a pink tint on her face.

"You're welcome. So what are you reading today?" Wanda sat on the grass next to Natasha.

She picked up the book and showed her the front cover. It read, Hani and Ishu's guide to fake dating.

"I think I read that one. It's set in Ireland isn't it and they go to a Catholic school right?" Wanda asked.

Natasha smiled and placed the book down in her lap, marking the page with her thumb.

"Yeah, it's a great book. I love their cute moments."

"I know right. It's so sweet but gosh I hate Hani's friends."

Natasha rolled her eyes and nodded "if I ever met someone like Aisling god I'd punch them, Deirdre isn't much better."

Wanda nodded in agreement.

They spent the rest of the night talking about the book. Natasha's favourite part was the beginning when Humairia and Ishita went on their first date. Wanda couldn't agree more, it was awkward but sweet none the less. Wanda's favourite part was near the end when Hani and Ishu shared their first kiss after Hani put her friends in their place.

Overall, Wanda really enjoyed hanging out with Natasha.

A/N:
Hello my dear readers.
How are you all?

Hani and Ishu's guide to fake dating was the first queer book I read. It's a sapphic romance book with the fake dating trope. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

It was the first book I read fully through in a while so if that doesn't tell you it's good I don't know what will.

Anyway
I hope you all have a good day

Love you all
Bye my little lovelies <3
-Liv xx
