XII. Pieces of art

You're in front of the mirror, almost ready, giving a last touch at your make-up when you hear the door bell, it must be Anne, your bestie

A: Yooo gurll you look dashin' hott

Y/N: thx gurl

A: You ready? Lets goooo

Y/N: Couldn't we look for something more decent to do? Yk I hate parties!

A: Oh im here bb you won't feel bad

Y/N: kay mate, no bad time with you indeed!

You lock the door and leave:)

As soon as you get into the venue you lose Anne out of your sight, too busy in looking for hot guys why care about her bff?

You get a drink and stare the people dancing at the loud music for a while.
Suddenly everything starts making you feel uncomfortable, the music feels too loud and the people who are just having fun become annoying.

You get out of the place as fast as you can, get to the street and sit on the edge of the sidewalk.

After spending some time staring at the slightly lit up night you feel someone sitting next to you

X: Hey there, what's wrong with the party?

Y/N: uhm, I just don't like parties. My bestie dragged me here forcefully

X: Sounds weird but we're both living the same situation. Why would people have fun jumping around on a stage on the beats of ear-bursting music being half or even full drunk? Real fun is doing crazy things, challenging yourself and other people and trying things you've never tried!

Y/N: That's what fun is for you? That's interesting! I've always been by the side of 'Netflix and chill' but I guess I need to try this one!

X: Lets go then!

Y/N: Now?

X: yup

You find the guy quite interesting so you just decide yo give it a try. Both of you get up and he leads you to his bike.

Y/N: So what's the name?

X: Shawn miss. What's hers?

Y/N: y/n...

As the bike starts you feel the breeze slighly shaking your soul, the excitement gets all over your body
Shawn stops the bike in front of a little villa.

Y/N: What are we doing here?

S: Just follow me and be ready to run

He jumps overtaking the gate and helps you jump as well.

At the back of the building there's a widely open window, he points it to you and you two get into the room, which turns out to be a kitchen.

Shawn gets very familiar to the place, he gets some chocolate and snacks from the drawers and some drinks from the fridge and asks you to go to the room beside the kitchen to get a blanket.

You open the door with the fear to find someone in there but there's no one.

You get the blanket and are about to leave but you find yourself in front of an old lady...

You stand there steel for more than 10 minutes...without any words or any act, terrified thinking of what she could do to you.

Shawn appears from nowhere and starts laughing very hard...

Y/N: Wtf Shawn we're in trouble and you're laughing?

S: AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH
She won't kill us girl, she's sleepwalking

You stare at her for other 2 minutes before realising that you're actually safe...you start jumping from joy and kiss the lady on her cheek.

Shawn then helps her go to bed and you two get out of the house.

S: Follow me!

Y/N: That's not what I was about to do, no

Shawn walks a little more beside the walls before finding a veery high ladder, that probably takes you on the rooftop.

After a real stuggle in shifting all the stuff up, you two finally get up and sit on the highest point, both in the same blanket eating, drinking and staring at the stars

Y/N: You know this place and the woman very well don't ya?

S: Oh I come here very often, her window is always open and her food taste is 'HMM'
Aand the rooftop is perfect for a chance to admire the pieces of art we get to see everynight!

Y/N: The stars? You look keen on them, I bet you recognise them all!

S: Oh won't tell lies, I do some of them

Shawn starts indicating and listing you some of the stars you see there, he seems to be very ambitious in doing that!

S: Aand that's my favourite star...I observe it everynight and make a wish

Y/N: WOW! You actually know a lot about astrology!

S: That's a passion of mine...What are your passion by the way?

So you two start talking about your passions, your hobbies, your occupation, studies, the music you like, the books you read and the movies you watch...

You've never thought that a stranger can actually become so close to you in a metter of some hours only...

You don't even know Shawn...but you're learning about him and you're having fun with him...that's all that mettered in that moment!
