XIV: She loves like a butterfly

It's 8pm, you've just finished working and you're packing up your stuff to leave the office.
Suddenly your phone starts ringing; it's Perrie, your bestfriend.

P: Hey y/n, are you busy?

Y/N: no gurl I've just finished work I'm heading to home now, why?

P: I'm stuck in a huge problem and I really need your help...would you pls pls do a favour for me hun?

Y/N: why are you even asking girl, have I ever denied? Go on tell me what's up?

P: You've never denied but there's a huge chance you do it now...

Y/N: Oh girl c'mon what's the metter?

P: ok...ehm you know right that after you guys broke up Shawn got very harmed and he couldn't heal himself...
Well, I've never told ya but things didn't just stay into a heartbreak...He became kinda alcohol addicted...he drinks constantly and often he's not even able to get back home, I have to...
The bartender called me and said that he's very drunk and he needs to be picked up...my sister's at the hospital and I'm stuck here...I literally couldn't find anyone better than you to turn to...would you pls just forget for a while what happened between you guys and just get him home? There's no one else I could have asked that rather than you...please?

Y/N: I can understand what's the situation Pez, don't worry, I'll go

P: thank you so much really it means a lot...

Y/N: anytime girl!

You get into the car and leave for the bar.

As you reach there you see tons of people drinking, dancing and making out.

You remember the first night you met Shawn, it was in a bar like this, he was there with some friends and you too, but he couldn't take his eyes off of you...

Y/N: Excuse me, Perrie sent me here for her friend, she couldn't come...

Bartender: Oh Shawn, he's over there

You go at the spot he pointed and to see Shawn sitting on the ground with an empty bottle in his hands, mumbling something

Y/N: Hey...

He looks up and stares at you, maybe trying to figure out if he has ever seen you...did he forget you? Was it that easy?

After a couple of seconds he looks back at the floor and starts mumbling again

You sit beside him and put your hand on his leg; he doesn't seem to realise that...

S: She's got dark brown eyes, short straight hair and a shy smile, a quiet personality and a great sense of humor...she loves like butterflies love flowers, smoothly and delicately...

Y/N: Who?

S: My princess, my angel, my life...

He used to name you like that, he always treated you like a little flower to take care and protect, and these ways to call you were your favourite...

S: She promised she'll always make sure I'm happy but she broke her promise...how am I gonna be happy without her? She said it was for the good of both of us...it may be so, but I just can't forget her. She's running through my mind, my head, my veins, my everything...

He closes his eyes and tears star rolling down his cheeks...his eyebags are so marked...he looks exhausted...

S: I'd do anything for her to come back in my life...but she just won't...she may have found somebody new and moved on, but I am and I will forever be here, crying over her cause my heart is shit and it won't let me love anyone else...

This time tears roll out of your eyes...shivers run through your body and you feel nauseous...you need fresh air to breath, you need silence and you need peace...you need everything that is not there

You look back at Shawn and you see him crying...the strong and powerful guy you've always looked up to is slowly destroying himself, all because of you...

Yeah, maybe your relationship brought lots of problems, but does not facing them and just moving back solve the thing? It actually doesn't...

And Shawn isn't even the only one suffering...you've literally never felt relieved since the day you got out of his door...you've never felt relaxed and it's all just a mess inside you...

You cup Shawn's face into your hands and wipe his warm tears with your thumb and make him look into your eyes...he seems lost, but you know that what you're doing will make him find his way and let find peace to you...

Y/N: She could never find anyone better than you...

You gently put your lips on his and slowly close your eyes...a slight heat goes from your mouth through your chest and then in your stomach...

You feel Shawn's fingers putting your hair behind your ear and then his hands running down your shoulder, you stop the kiss and look at him

Y/N: She loves you Shawn, believe me she really does...

S: I love you too princess, just make a humble promise to not leave me ever again...

Y/N: Never...

He smiles and pulls you even closer... he really recognised you after the kiss?!

This time he starts the kiss and here you find the peace you've searching for so long...
