SKYLAR'S P.O.V.
After dinner we collected the plated and helped clean up like everyone else was doing. Once we were done Jess and Cole ran off to talk while the adults sat at the dining table again sipping their tea and talking, leaving me to sit in the living room playing games in my phone until Nathan came and sat next to me.
"Hello," he simply greeted. I turned to him to see his smiling face.
"Hi," I replied as I put my phone back in my pocket, giving him my full attention.
"So are their any other neighbors you've met yet?" He asked and I shook my head.
"I only just got here three hours ago, you're the first," I smiled, and he smiled back. Just then the parents laughed so loud it made our conversation awkward.
"Not to sound creepy or anything, but do you want to go up to my room and talk?" He asked and I nodded as we ran up the stairs and I followed him down the hall and turned into a room as he flipped the light switch on to reveal a nice light green room.
"Like it?" He asked as he took a seat on the bench by his window. I looked out the window to see my window and the inside of my room.
"That's my window!" I pointed out as I sat next to him.
"It's gonna be like we're roommates then?" He joked.
"I guess so, I haven't even began to unpack and I have school tomorrow," I pointed out, he said an eyebrow.
"What school do you go to?" He asked.
"I think it's called Beverly High?" I replied back unsure.
"That's my school! Maybe we'll see each other around then?" He guessed.
"Probably, at least I'll know one person there anyways," I replied with a smile in which he smiled back. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and his mother stood there.
"Skylar, your mum's heading home. Do you want to go with her or walk back later?" She asked. I was about to answer when Nathan cut me off.
"I can take her home," Nathan volunteered and his mother smiled before walking away.
"I don't know Nath, maybe I should go home and unpack more," I replied unsure. I was about to stand up and leave when Nathan settled me back down.
"How about this, tomorrow evening after I eat dinner I'll come over and help you unpack? We can do homework together?"He offered. I smiled thinking of the idea.
"Okay then, it's a deal," I confirmed before we both broke out in laughter and continued talking. It was about 8:30PM when I decided I needed to leave.
"It's getting late, maybe I should go," I told Nath and he understood as we walked out of his room but I stopped in the hallway.
"Did Cole already leave yet?" I asked him and he shrugged his shoulders and kept walking until he stopped in front of a door and opened it. We both stayed quiet as he peeked into the room before closing the door.
"Jess is on Twitter, so I guess he already went home," he told me. I began to walk and I slipped on my shoes downstairs along with Nathan as we both walked outside and over to my lawn and up to the porch. Nathan stopped on the porch and turned to me and smiled.
"Thanks for coming over to dinner, it was nice meeting you also," he told me.
"Thanks for having me," I replied back before giving him an awkward hug and opening the front door and stepping inside.
"See you tomorrow!" He remarked as I closed the door.
