Chapter 22 - Late As Usual

SKYLAR'S P.O.V.

I was immediately woken up this morning but my house phone ringing next to me. I picked the phone up frustrated that it had to ring at this time of morning and answered it quietly, trying not to wake Nathan up, but of course he was up anyways.

"Hello?" I grumbled, instantly regretting my mood when I heard who was on the other line.

"Skylar! Good morning! I just wanted to ask you something, do you know where Nathan is?" She asked. I looked over at Nathan with a panicked look and he shook his head and mouthed 'no'.

"Nathan? Erm, no actually, why?" I asked.

"He's just been grounded recently and he knows he supposed to stay home, I would assume your the first person that would know where he is since you're-"

"Okay, I get it. I'll tell him you're worried if I see him," I replied to her, trying not to laugh about the last part since Nath is right in front of me.

"Alright, Goodbye," she told me before hanging up. I sat the phone down and sighed.

"You're in deep shit with your mother, y'know that?" I told him. He sighed and nodded.

"I'll give her a few minutes and text her telling her I went out with some friends or something," he thought of. I looked at the clock and noticed it was 8 on a Wednesday! shit!

"We're late!" I shouted as I jumped out of bed. Mum's not going to be happy.

NATHAN'S P.O.V.

I waited for Skylar outside her house as I was able to sneak out of her room and to a lower story window. I watched as she came running out of her house and approached me out of breath.

"You're already late, what's the rush?" I chuckled and she just sighed and nodded, agreeing with my statement. We walked towards the school and talked about whatever we felt like before we arrived inside the school. I walked Skylar inside the school.

"You should probably go before the principle comes out and sees you," she whispered. I laughed.

"What are they going to do? Suspend me?" I smirked. She rolled her eyes and smiled before kissing me.

"See you after school?" She asked, I nodded and watched as she left my sight. I was about to leave to school before I was caught by a poster hanging on the wall. "PROM! SATURDAY - 5:30PM to 10:00PM!" should I ask her?

This actually was a funny part to write. :)

I'm sorry I haven't been writing lately, I can't tell if my schoolwork is slowing down, or speeding up. I'm kind of happy to be leaving soon because there's just so many annoying people, yet I...well...there's not really a reason why I want to stay. xD This summer I should upload a little more than usual maybe. ;)

I WILL BE GONE AUGUST 6-12 THOUGH. I have to go to band camp and there's no wi-fi or time for me to even catch my breath there. :P
