Chapter 15 - Between The Raindrops

SKYLAR'S P.O.V.

"Nathan! Are you coming?!" I whined through my window as I was already dressed.

"Almost!" He replied as I watched him run around in his room shirtless. I laughed and shook my head before I headed downstairs to see my mum reading the paper.

"I'm going out to hang with Nathan!" I told her before heading out the door. I met Nath at the end of his driveway a couple minutes after that where we started walking down the street. Our hands touched a couple times as we walked before Nathan gripped my hand in his. I looked up to him to see a smirk growing on his face as we kept walking.

"Where should we go first?" He asked as we approached downtown. I looked at my phone and noticed it was only noon.

"It's only noon, lets get some lunch yeah?" I suggested and he nodded. We headed over to McDonalds and ate some burgers before we went back out walking. I watched as we grew closer and closer to a group of kids our age and of course, it was the popular kids from school.

"Shit," I cursed under my breath so Nathan couldn't hear. I was thinking of pulling Nathan way and going another direction but-

"Yo Blessings! See you've finally counted your "blessings" and found yourself a guy?" One jock teased, I just scowled at the guy and felt Nathan stiffen next to me.

"She's too embarrassed! She couldn't do any better than Sykes!" A girl started laughing. I wanted to run away and start crying but Nathan was the only one keeping me together.

"How can you guys talk? You obviously don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend, why make fun of mine?! Go grow up why don't you?" Nathan told them as he squeezed my hand. I felt comforted as the people stood at him in shock before leaving.

"Thank you," I told him, not making eye contact. He pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head.

"Don't let them get to you Sky," he replied and I nodded. Suddenly we both heard thunder and looked up to see the sky was dark.

"We better get home," I told him as he looked at me with a mischievous smirk. I looked back at him confused before he swept me off my feet, making me squeal. I hid my face in his chest as we were both laughing all the way home. I felt Nathan stop and I looked up to realize he was standing on the porch of his house.

"You can put me down now Nath, it's fine," I laughed but he shook his head no before kissing me. He then pulled away before opening the door to his house where he carried me up to his room.

"What to watch a movie?" He asked as he sat me down gently on his bed. I looked outside to notice it had now began to downpour with rain.

"Sure, you pick," I replied. I was starting to feel warmer laying comfortably on his bed while his house was warm. We both sat on his bed and watched a movie before the lights and everything turned off.

"Well, so much for having power," Nathan muttered.

"Yeah," I agreed with him as I started rubbing my arms.

"You cold?" He asked, I nodded. Nathan got up from his bed and walked over to his wardrobe.

"Pullover or zip-up?" He asked.

"Either is fine," I told him as he tossed me a navy blue hoodie that read 'MAYBE' in white capital letters. I quickly pulled it over my head, and embracing the smell of his cologne left on it.

"Better?" He asked and I nodded with a smile.

"You're too kind," I replied. He pulled me closer to him so I was laying on his shoulder.

"You're my girlfriend, I'm not going to treat you like dirt," he assured me seriously before smiling and kissing me.

"I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too."

Just out of random, if anyone knows where Nathan did get his 'MAYBE' sweatshirt, please tell me! I really need a new hoodie so it would be appreciated. ;)

Sorry this chapter is shit, It's like 11:30pm and I'm just tired. xD
