Chapter 12 - Find Out The Truth

SKYLAR'S P.O.V.

"Attention passengers, we are approaching our destination in five minutes. Please buckle up and turn all electronics off. Thank you for flying Sanford Airlines!" The flight attendant spoke over the intercom. I put my headphones in my pocket as I checked for the flight attendants before looking at my texts.

From: Nathan

"Having fun on the plane? ;)"

- "I wish, but we're getting off right about now. :)"

"That's good, is it all sunny and happy?"

- "Unlike the UK, yes it is. :)

"Miss, please turn that off or put it away," I was told by a attendant before she walked away. I payed no attention as I looked at my texts again.

From: Louis

"How's that Florida sun treating you babe? ;)"

- "I haven't had a chance to get off the plane, but it'll be warm. :)"

"Better than here, it's raining! :( the family's going out to Nandos. Have a nice time, I want some pictures! :)"

Once we were out of the airport, I took a deep breathe and smiled as I soaked up the warm sun. We carried on and got a cab until we came up to the beach house that belonged to my grandmother.

"Hello mother," mum greeted as my grandparents were coming out to see us.

"Oh hello darling," she replied as they hugged before they pulled apart and went over to Cole.

"Oh look at my grandson!" She gushed as she pulled Cole in for a hug and a kiss on the cheek before she came over to me.

"My my! You're getting so tall!" She told me before doing the same. I smiled and hugged her back before we walked inside and got unpacked, Cole and I sharing a room.

"Want to go swimming?" He asked and I nodded before we got dressed and headed down to the pool.

NATHAN'S P.O.V.

• TWO DAYS LATER •

Jess and I were walking over to Skylar's house to make sure everything was fine.

"So tell me little brother, do you like Skylar?" Jess questioned and I knew I would dread that question.

"Like as a friend?" I asked, playing dumb. Jess laughed and elbowed me in the arm.

"No silly! Like do you really have feelings for her?" She asked. I paused for a moment before thinking.

"I knew it!" She replied when I didn't say anything.

"Just don't tell anyone okay?" I begged her and she nodded.

"I promise. But this is your chance Nath, you can actually go find out if she likes you back!" She told me as we walked into the house. I sighed.

"I'll check everything out, you do some investigating!" She told me. I walked upstairs into Skylar's room to see everything left like it was when she left. I looked around and noticed my laptop wasn't around, maybe she took it with her? I don't really know how else I should tell her. I tore a scrap piece of paper out of a notebook and sat down on her bed as I found a pencil and stared writing.

Sorry it's so short, I was in a hurry to write. :/ I've just been sick this week and everyone knows with a cold that it's hard to sit down somewhere without your nose plugging up, which is why I couldn't type or think, which is also why my exam grades weren't good.

Good news, IM GETTING A PUPPY! :D obviously it's kind of soon since my other dog died but I've convinced myself that I'm not replacing my old dog, I'm just making another friend. :)

Hope you liked this chapter, I kind of tried to make it interesting. The next chapter WILL be good!
