Chapter 21 - Consequences

SKYLAR'S P.O.V.

I walked out the door and just onto my porch and I could see Nathan to my right on his porch with his head in his hands. I walked over to him and walked right in front of him when he looked up from his hands shocked.

"Hey," was my only response.

"You wanna talk?" He asked. I nodded and sat down next to him on his porch steps.

"I really don't know what came over me Skylar. I'm not mad at you," He started. I continued to stare down at the pavement while he talked.

"I know Louis, Skylar. He's nothing but a player. He uses innocent girls to get them into bed with him, and I didn't want to see you be one of his victims. When I heard he asked you out, it was like a protective boyfriend side came out. I-I'm sorry Sky," he explained. I looked back up into his worried face and I cracked a smile before giving him a hug.

"Thank you," I whispered. I pulled away and looked at him to see him wearing his true genuine smile.

"For what?" He chuckled.

"Everything. Being by my side, and explaining everything. If I asked another guy the same question they would tell me 'get over it' or some stupid remark," I replied. Suddenly a gust of wind blew by and I felt goosebumps rise on my arms, I realized I forgot a jacket.

"Here, have mine," Nathan responded as he gave me a blue jacket that I slipped my arms into. It's almost like he read my mind. He moved apart from me a little and looked me up and down.

"You look good in my jacket, just sayin'," he commented.

"Oh shut it, Sykes," I laughed and he chuckled as he pulled me closer to him and help me close before kissing my cheek. I laid against his chest listening to his heart beat calmly as we stayed in each other's embrace. I was so comfortable to where I began to close my eyes. I heard the loud squeak of a door opening but I didn't bother to move.

"Nathan, you know you're grounded," I heard Karen say to him with a stern tone, Nathan sighed. I felt Nathan move slightly.

"She's sleeping mum, I can't just tell her to go home!" He complained to her, I heard her sigh.

"Alright but just today, your punishment starts tomorrow. You can't go over to the Blessings residence and you can't have Skylar over past five, do you understand young man?" she asked him. I couldn't help but smile a little at this rule, but I felt kind of bad also.

"Yes mum," I heard him grumble before I was picked up. I guessed that Nathan was walking me back to my house. I heard our doorbell ring on the inside from where I was before I heard the front door open.

"Is she okay?" I heard Cole ask cautiously and a bit irritated.

"She's perfectly fine, she just fell asleep at my place," I heard Nathan whisper. I heard the door creek open more as Nathan proceeded to move and I was being carried up the steps. I did try to stay awake but I really was too tired, and I fell asleep in the arms of my boyfriend.

NATHAN'S P.O.V.

I walked into Skylar's room and laid her down on her bed where she belonged. I moved pieces of her hair that were out of place behind her ear and smiled.

"I want to talk to you," Cole told me sternly. What's up with everyone being mad at me lately?

"Alright, shoot," I replied.

"Skylar told me everything that happened between you and Tomlinson, and quite frankly she was the most upset I've ever seen her, and as a big brother I don't like to see her sad. So to cut to the chase - don't break her heart, or make her be this miserable again, or you'll be answering to me," he threatened. I could tell he was serious since his fists were clenched.

"I never planned to make your sister cry Cole, but I understand what you're saying," I replied to him before he left the room. I looked back at Skylar before thinking of going home. My punishment starts tomorrow, why not enjoy the freedom? I laid down next to Skylar and held her close before closing my eyes and falling asleep next to her.

I don't really have much else to say...did you all like the WLR video? :) I have mixed feeling about it, I think the chorus should be changed to "She can't sing, she can't dance, but who cares? She has a nice ass and pair of boobs" because it shows her obviously not being able to sing and dance, but when she's 'Walking Like Rihanna' is more like close butt shots and she's constantly moving her hair behind her shoulder to show her boobs...it's just annoying like, it's the opposite of most songs that are like "You think you're ugly but your beautiful to me" type of thing, like as long as you have 'nice' qualities in those two thing, you'll be fine. -_-
