I roamed the halls of the 'murder house'

I thought I was alone. I knew other people lived here too but as far as I was aware, they were dead.

I had moved into this house to see if I could connect with them and find out their stories.

I walked into the kitchen to find a young blonde woman sitting there, smoking a cigarette. I looked at her in confusion, "who the hell are you and why are you in my house?" I asked her.

"Hello Y/N, my name is Billie, Billie Dean Howard"

"A-are you dead? How do you know my name?" I stuttered.

"No, honey I am not" she chuckled. "But you are, and I know all the spirits in this house" my jaw dropped, what did she mean by that? How could I be dead? If I was, surely I'd have seen the other souls in this place.

"What? No, I'm not" she smiled at me, gesturing for me to take a seat next to her. I did as she said without even thinking.

"I'm sorry sweetheart but you are" she whispered, placing her hand on top of mine.

"There's no way I- I don't remember dying"

"You died in your sleep" she spoke sympathetically. Just then, someone else entered the room.

"Billie will you GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! And who have you brought with you this time?" another woman yelled.

"Vivien calm down, this is Y/N. You know she moved in here not that long ago. She is one of you now" the woman sat down next to us and smiled.

"Sorry lovely, I didn't realise. I knew I could sense another soul among us but I had no idea it was you"

"You- you're Vivien Harmon!" I stuttered.

She smiled and nodded.

"I am indeed" she spoke softly.

There was a loud bang coming from upstairs followed by a scream and some muffled wailing crying. "If you'll excuse me. BEN HARMON YOU BETTER NOT HAVE SMASHED MY FAVOURITE VASE" she screamed as she left the room.

Then it was just me and Billie. "How did you know I was dead, how can you even see me?"

"Honey, I am a medium. I am the only living person the spirits allow to enter this house" I understood what she was saying but I still had so many questions.

"Why did you come here knowing the danger this house holds?" she asked.

"I- I wanted to connect with the spirits, find out their stories. I know that it wasn't accidental that they all died and ended up trapped here"

"Ah. Well, you could've come to me and asked that way" she giggled.

"I didn't know you existed" then there was an awkward silence before she spoke again.

"You're a very pretty girl Y/N, how old are you?"

"I'm 23... was 23" I sighed. Billie smiled at me and placed her hand on my thigh. Butterflies erupted in my stomach. This woman has got some sort of hold over me even though I just met her. I can't explain it.

"I see" she whispered, sending a chill down my spine. She looked at me with pure lust in her eyes. I thought it would be a good idea to move closer to her.

I sat down on the counter and she smirked, taking it upon herself to whisper in my ear "you're bold aren't you sweetheart"

She then blew hot air onto my neck before kissing it. I chuckled before lifting her head so that she could face me. "How does it feel to want a dead girl, Billie?" I spoke before kissing her soft lips.

She kissed me back and hummed in response.

That was when she realised, she was in love with Y/N
