I am dancing around my living room with the love of my life. Spending our last moments together before Lana risks everything.

"I'm really going to miss this... us" I said, twirling Lana around. "Y/N, honey. It'll only be for a few days" she giggled.

"I know, I just can't believe you are leaving tomorrow. Promise me that you'll be safe" I whispered. "I promise you Y/N, I will be fine" Lana giggled.

"But Lana, what if something bad happens and I never see you again" I suddenly stop dancing and take her hands in mine. "Y/N you are being silly. As I said, I'll only be gone for a day or two" she sighed, letting go of my hands.

I walked up to the window and stared out into the night outside.

"I close my eyes. Take a breath and I picture us in a place I can't recognise" I started to cry. "In the fire, I call your name out. Up all night trying to rub the pain out" I told her.

"Baby don't cry" she said, taking my head in her hands. "Dancing in circles, feels good to be lonely" I spat.

"What do you mean by that Y/N?" she asked, "Y/N?" she repeated my name.

"Lana you don't know that you won't be only a few days. What if something goes horribly wrong!" I yelled at her, making her take a step back. "Those places are dangerous!" I said, worried. "I know that it's you sweetheart but you can't control what they do in there!"

"I see you have little faith in me" she whispered. "No I- that's not true!" I exclaimed.

"Well, that's what it sounds like to me!" she yelled back at me. "Lana, you know I didn't mean it like that" I whispered. I tried to grab her hand but she was too quick and pulled it away from me.

"Lana..."

"Don't! Do not touch me" she choked. "You're supposed to stand by me Y/N. Believe in me with everything that I choose to do"

"Lana! I do believe in you, I'm just worried" I sighed.

"I fool myself, swirl around as if I'm someone else" she said, sitting down on the couch. "Your hands on mine" she whispered.

"I do a trick. Pretend that I am you until it clicks..." she laughed through her tears. "What?" I asked in confusion.

"Y/N, you don't know what it's like for them. I want to do this and make a difference. Hopefully, I can change their lives for the better" she smiled, thinking about how happy they could be.

"But Lana-"

"You're not listening Y/N!" she yelled slightly. "I am listening! I have listened to you the whole time. Please, just let me speak" I said quietly. She nodded and let me talk.

"All I'm saying is, I don't want you to get hurt. I couldn't imagine a life without you Lana Banana. You make my life complete and I am so proud of you for wanting to make a change. Helping people for the better is something you've always been good at... but what about me?" I whispered the last part as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Hurts inside but not this time... all the things that are on my mind, vanish as I touch myself. Call out loud for you... but you're not there" she sobbed.

"Baby don't cry"

"Baby don't cry" she whispered back. She stood up and held me close to her. "I'm sorry Y/N, I just didn't think you understood" she frowned as she wiped away my tears.

"I will always understand you, Lana. I'm sorry" I smiled lightly.

"I'll miss you" she chuckled, pulling me into a tight hug. "Not as much as I'll miss you... Lana Banana"
