"Y/N, could you come to my office please?" she asked me in a serious tone. My heart began to beat so fast that I thought it was going to jump out of my chest.

I closed the door behind us and she wasted no time in holding me close. "I'm dying Y/N" she whispered. My breath hitched. "No... not yet. Please tell me you're wrong" I choked. "I'm afraid it's true sweetheart. The new supreme is rising and there is nothing I can do to stop it" she sighed.

"I can't imagine a world with you gone" I sobbed into the crook of her neck. The sweet scent of her hair invaded my nostrils. "I'd be so lost if you left me alone" I whispered. She ran her fingers through my hair and kissed my temple.

"Can you hear me screaming please don't leave me?" I broke down in her arms. "Hold on, I still want you. Come back I still need you"

"Let me take your hand, I'll make it right"

"I swear to love you all my life" I said as she forced me to face her. I looked into her eyes and all I saw was love. Whereas mine were broken and longing for her to stay with me forever.

"This is a nightmare I can't escape from Y/N. The last thing I want to do is leave you here. I promise you, I'll always be with you" she whispered. "But Delia, having you here in person is what I need" I contradicted her.

"My time is coming. I have served my purpose as the supreme sweetheart. Promise me... promise me you will only remember me as the woman you fell in love with initially... not the one who is fading away by the second. Please find someone who can love you as much as I do when I'm gone" as she spoke, her voice cracked from all the pain.

"Hold on, I still want you. Come back I still need you" I whispered. "Delia I promise you that I will never forget you, you're unforgettable anyway... but I can't promise that I can move on"

"It's what I want for you... I can't have you grieving me for the rest of your life" she frowned.

I took her hands in mine and gave them a light squeeze "I don't want to let go. I know I'm not that strong. I just wanna hear you saying baby let's go home"

"I just want to take you home" she smiled. I had to face the facts. She would never live forever! But I wasn't ready to let her go just yet...
