I heard a knock on my door so I went to open it. She stood before me and I just stared. Ms Venable walked into my room and didn't even look at me. She just sat down on my bed and let out a heavy sigh.

I walked over and joined her. Feeling the tension between the two of us, I decided to tell her the truth.

"Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner" I said, causing her to finally look at me. "Sometimes I feel like my only friend, is the outpost we live in, the outpost of angels. Lonely as I am, together we cry" I whispered. "Y/N" she started. "There's someone here that makes me feel different, in a good way" I smiled softly. Ms Venable gave me a sympathetic look, "I know that I may not seem like a nice person Y/N. There's someone here that makes me feel the same... she sees my good deeds and I want to be hers" Ms Venable whispered.

"I never worry"

"Now that is a lie" Venable contradicted.

"I don't ever wanna feel like I did that day. Take me to the place I love, take me all the way" I told her. "What do you mean, sweetheart?" she asked, caressing my cheek gently.

"Being brought here... it was horrible. But then I met you" I whispered, looking deep into her eyes. I could see love and passion behind them. "I promise you, I'll keep you safe Y/N"

"It's hard to believe that there's nobody out there. It's hard to believe that I'm all alone" I whispered. "At least I have your love Y/N" she bit her lip as she smiled. *She loves me?* I asked myself.

"What's troubling you?" she asked, trying to understand my complexion. "Do you like anyone, Ms Venable?" I asked, bravely.

She pondered for a moment before giving me an answer. She slowly nodded before smiling, "you" she chuckled. My eyes widened. "Me?" I asked. She nodded once more. "I like you Y/N, a lot"
