I sat, holding her fragile body. She just sacrificed her life to save us. She knew her time would be up soon since the new supreme was rising. But, she didn't give me a second thought, we still had time.

"Y/N, we need to leave" Myrtle sighed, placing a hand on my shoulder to console me. "We had time" I whispered, a tear rolling down my cheek. "Sweetheart, you can't stay here forever" Myrtle whispered, I could sense the pain in her voice. Losing Cordelia was hard for me but I couldn't even imagine how she was feeling. "I'm sure you can Y/N" she said suddenly. I turned around to see her smiling at me. "It feels like I have lost a daughter, but I know that for you, this pain will not go away for a very long time" she said softly, pulling me into a hug as I broke down in her arms.

"I feel like I ignored her. I could've done something to stop her from doing this" I whispered, looking back at her. She looked as though she was sleeping peacefully.

"Can I help you, not to hurt anymore?" Myrtle asked, I shook my head. "We saw brilliance when the world was asleep" I chuckled, thinking of all the times we snuck out when everyone was tucked up in bed. "There are things that we can have, but can't keep" Myrtle sighed.

"Who cares if one more light goes out? In a sky of a million stars" I whispered. "Who cares when someone's time runs out if a moment is all we are? Who cares if one more light goes out?" I stopped suddenly. "Well I do" I began to cry harder, throwing myself over her lifeless body trying to hold her close.

"You're angry... and you should be, it's not fair" Myrtle said as she pulled me into a hug over the love of my life's body.
