I came home from work early, hoping I could surprise Sarah. But instead, I found her huddled in a ball softly crying. I rushed over to her and caressed her cheek, giving her a shock.

"Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong" I whispered. She simply shook her head, not wanting to burden me with what was on her mind.

"How I hate to see you like this" I told her as I ran my hands through her soft hair in a comforting way.

"I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet" I whispered. "It's nothing Y/N, I promise... I'm fine" she said as her voice broke. "Chiquitita tell me the truth. I'm a shoulder you can cry on. Your best friend, I'm the one you must rely on" I smiled as I brought her close to me.

I let her cry into my shoulder, knowing that she was safe to let all of her emotions out. I rubbed her back gently to comfort her. "I hope we can patch it up together" I whispered as I continued to hold her.

"Chiquitita you and I know, how the heartaches come and they go and the scars they're leaving. You'll be dancing one again and the pain will end"

"Y/N, I don't think I can do this" she said as she continued to break down. "But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you. Let me hear you sing once more like you did before. Sing a new song Chiquitita"

"Try once more, like you did before. Sing a new song Chiquitita" she chuckled as I tapped her nose gently.

"I know you may not be ready to tell me what's going on my love, but know that you can always rely on me. Come on, let's go order some food and watch a movie?" I suggested. She nodded and grabbed a blanket to get comfortable.

I only hope that she can trust me enough to tell me what's going on in that pretty head of hers. I love her too much to see her sad this way.
