I wait until she passes by and pull her into the empty classroom by her hand. Closing the door behind her.
"Holy shit! Don't do that you scared me." Sadia punches my arm.
"Sorry." I smile nervously.
"What do you want?"
I hesitate. I don't know why I'm so nervous. "Me, Rani and a few other are going bowling tomorrow and I was wondering if you'd like to go. None of them go to this school besides Rani."
She frowns. "Why are you asking?"
"Because you're my friend and you're fun to hang out with when you don't have stick up your ass. That stick being school." I joke.
She rolls her eyes. "Sure I'll go."
I smile a little too big not expecting her to agree. "Great."
"Aren't you coming over today?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Of course."
"Then why didn't you just wait to ask when you came over or text me?"
I stare at her for a second. "I don't know. But being secretive is kinda fun." I smile.
It's really because I just wanted to talk to her. It's been about two weeks since I've stopped staying over at her house. We've gotten closer. I come over everyday and call her every night. We'll talk until she falls asleep. At first it was just so she wouldn't feel alone but now it's kind of our thing.
She rolls her eyes. One day they won't reset. "I'm going to class. DO NOT come out at the same time as me."
"Duh." I smile.
She leaves. I wait a minute before coming out.
I make it to our second class and go to my seat. Rani comes in a few seconds later. Without a word she slaps a card onto my desk before sitting beside me.
I pick it up with confusion, the top says NYC Identification Card. I look at the birthday saying I'm twenty one. Then I look at the picture remembering last week when Rani took a picture of me against her white hallway wall and I did the same for her. She wouldn't tell me what it was for and I honestly forgot about it.
"Is this a fake ID?" I ask.
"Yes thank me later."
"I don't want this, it's illegal." I frown at her.
"If you get caught." She says with a smirk.
I roll my eyes. "Where did you get it?"
"You know the guy who makes the school ID's?"
I nod. "Yeah."
"Him. I found out from someone that he sells fake ID's for fifty."
"What are we even gonna use this for?" I look at it again. It looks real.
"The gay bars duh."
I sigh and put it away. "Thanks, I guess. I invited Sadia to go with us tomorrow night by the way." I decide to tell her because it was a decision I had just made today while in first period.
She looks over at her. "Why?"
"She's my friend."
She smirks. "Yeah friend. Do you stare at my ass too during practice?"
I roll my eyes. "Shut up."
****
"Just pet her." Sadia says holding the dog on her lap as we sit on her bed. Some how she convinced me to let her bring the dog into her room with us as long as she holds it.
