Sadia's POV
"What's wrong hermosa?" Ari asks as we sit at the lunch table. "You haven't touched your salad."
I sigh. "Javad is coming today."
If I could ditch I would but I'd never here the end of from Baba so I have to put up with him.
Her nose scrunches. "Oh, ew."
I chuckle. "No for real."
"Who's Javad?" Rob asks from across the table. He's so nosey.
"Nobody important." I answer.
He hmphs.
"You should eat, we have practice." Ari says. Funny I was once the one to tell her such.
Even with no appetite I eat just to make Ari happy. I'd do anything for her. I'm literally willing to give up my Baba for her even though he really never had any importance to me. I love my Maman but my heart is Ari's.
We finish up lunch and Ari walks me to the class. I honestly go through my last classes not paying attention and dreading the evening. I wish I could run away.
At the end of school I go to practice, Ari tries to cheer me up with her stupid ways and it honestly does temporarily. But then we're parting ways after a lengthy kiss and I'm going back home, my hijab and abaya on over the clothes I wore today. I wouldn't mind wearing it with Javad around. He doesn't deserve to see any part of me.
I groan when I pull up to the house and see another car here. I can't even get a chance to relax.
When I walk in I'm met with him and my parents sat on the living room couch.
"او آنجاست!" Father says loudly and they all stand. ("There she is!")
I hate him so much but put on a fake smile, not wanting to piss him off.
Javad smiles as his dark eyes trail over me, making me sick. He then proceeds to kiss my hand. Disgusting. "شما تبدیل به یک زن زیبا شده اید." He says. ("You have become a beautiful woman.")
I hadn't remembered what Javad looked like. He's not ugly to be honest but he isn't a woman and definitely not my sexy Ari.
He's tall, not as tall as Ari. He has dark piercing eyes, his dark hair styled in a short swoop or something. He looks honestly deserve no recognition. He's irrelevant.
I put on a fake smile. "You're quite handsome yourself." I hold back a gag.
I don't want to give Baba a reason to send me back to Iran before I turn 18 so I have to go along with it. This is going to be the worse birthday week and birthday. Actually I take that back this is gonna be the best birthday, I can finally get away.
A glance to my Baba and I see him smiling at us in approval. Maman on the other hand is giving me a pitying smile.
"او را به اتاق خود ببرید که در آن بحث های زیادی دارید." Father says cheerfully. ("Take him to your room you have a lot to discuss.")
I'm actually gonna cry. I don't want to be anywhere alone with this disgusting man.
اما شما باید در را باز بگذارید. هیچ اتفاق نامناسبی در این خانه نمی افتد، باید آن را برای ماه عسل خود ذخیره کنید." Maman says. ("But you must leave the door open. Nothing inappropriate will go on in this house, you must save it for your honeymoon.")
Mashallah! I love her. I wouldn't feel safe being around him with the door closed and no one else around.
Baba seems to agree with that thankfully he isn't that sick in the head.
