Chapter Twelve

*Saturday Evening*

I sit at home board so I decide to go next door to hang out with Kayla I grab my phone and tell Matt where I'm going. "Ok." He says paying to much attention to his game to care.

I walk next door and walk through the door because I'm practically family. Hayes and Nash were sitting on the couch watching a movie. I go upstairs into Kayla's room. She's not there. I go back down stairs "is Kayla home?" I ask. They jump and turn around and I start laughing.

"God Lexie why didn't you knock first or at least let us know your were coming." Nash says trying to calm down from the heart attack I almost gave him and Hayes.

"Sorry, My parents are at dinner and matt is playing one of his stupid video games so I thought I would come here because I was board."

"Well you are more than welcome to stay and watch a movie with us. Kayla's out with some other friends. We just finished one but we were just about to start The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. We just got done watching The Hunger Games. Would you like to watch it with us? I know you have already seen us before but-" Hayes ranted before I cut him off. "Sure." I said "I would love to. Do you guys have any popcorn?"

"Yeah in the pantry." Nash tells me.

"Thanks I'll make us all some." I go into the kitchen and get the popcorn and pop it in the microwave. A couple minutes later I walk back into the living room. Hayes looked like he was mad at Nash for something so I sit between them. "Is everything okay Hayes?" I ask

"Yeah." He mumbles.

"HAYES HAS A CRUSH ON YOU!!" Nash yells as he bolts off of the couch into a room.

"Really?" I smile.

"Yeah...." He says rubbing the back if his neck and biting his lip blushing a bit. I could tell he was nervous because every time he gets nervous he bites his lip, rubs the back if his neck, and sometimes on occasion taps his foot.

All I do is kiss him on the lips. As we break apart he says "I take it you like me too?"

"Ever since we were in the sixth grade." I tell him.

"Really? Me too! I just never got the courage to ask you out until Nash blurted it out."

"Well I'm happy he did." I tell him

"Me too." We kiss again. I break from the kiss and say "wait, if you like me than why did you ask out Mackenzie?"

"To be honest. I really don't know." We laugh and soon we are kissing again. I hear a sound of someone taking a picture and I hear Nash say. "Aw you guys are so cute! That's going on Twitter." We break apart and see Nash on his phone typing away.

"Nash!" Hayes and I say. Our phones go off and we see that Nash did tweet that picture with the caption 'look who finally got the courage to ask out @lexierose2000 @hayesgrier #layes' our Twitter notifications blow up with aws or what happened to Mackenzie or this will never work out or I liked him better with Mackenzie or you guys are perfect together. Most people are supportive of Hayes no matter who he dates or what he does, others not so much. But the haters never faze him or at least that I know of.

"Nash that's the cheesiest ship name ever! We're like the chip brand." I say. We all laugh.

"Well, I like it. It's cute. Layes. Just has a ring to it." Hayes says.

"Okay. Than lets stink with it." I say. Nash sits down on the couch next to Hayes and I snuggle into Hayes's side. Nash presses the play button and and we watch the movie eating the popcorn. Me eyes start getting heavy and soon I fall asleep on Hayes's chest.
