you've been staying at the madrigal house for 2 months now. you and Alma have tea and talk while everyone is off doing chores. you and Mirabel sit everyday and chat about random things. God do you love her and hope she's falling for you again. Dolores seems to be watching you and Mirabel like a novela every once and a while.
Right now you are sitting on the porch drawing Mirabel and don't see her coming out the house.
"is that me ?" she says behind you
you jump and look up at her. you smile big not embarrassed at all.
"yeah.. you can say you are my muse. " you say confidently
she blushes and you think it's cute. you tuck her hair behind her ear and look in her eyes.
"you are beautiful Mirabel" you say staring in her eyes
"thank you " she says getting lost in your eyes
You both seem to be leaning in.
"hey (y/n) Abuela... oh shit sorry" you hear Camilo say
you and Mirabel jump away from each other. you blush a bit
"what does señora Alma need?" you ask
"just... sorry. " Camilo runs inside
"fucking Camilo" Mirabel mumbles
"do you.. maybe want to watch the sunset with me in the backyard? after i talk to your grandma of course" you ask
she nods agreeing. you smile and quickly go to Alma's room.
"amiga" you smile
she looks up from her book and smiles
"come sit " she tells you
you sit next to her
"so.. when are you going to make a move? .. my grand daughter has a crush on you. she was telling Isabela about it and I happen to hear them. " Alma ask like a school girl excited
you couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"wow you are excited. well we are going to watch the sunset. we might be late for dinner" you tell her
"oh it's okay. I'll tell Julieta to put you both a plate on the side. I know you will get this time right. " she tells you and kisses your cheek
you smile and give her a hug. you then head downstairs. you see dolores and walk over
"Hopefully this romance scene works out" you tell her
"yes since my brother ruined it. you're life is a better plot than bruno's novelas " Dolores tells you in a whisper
you smile at her and head downstairs. you see Mirabel coming out her room with a blanket and you smile at her
"hey"
"hey.. i got a blanket for us to sit on"
"perfect you beat me to it"
you both go outside and you help her lay out the blanket.
"we made the perfect timing" you said as you both sat down.
You smile as she sits close to you. You inch your hand close to hers and brush her pinky with yours. she looks at you.
"you can hold my hand.. or me if you want" she says shy
you wrap an arm around her shoulder and she cuddles into you. you smile and you can tell she's comfortable.
"i love the colors." you say as you watch the sun setting
"almost as pretty as your eyes." Mirabel mumbles
you carefully grab her face and make her look at you. you cup her cheek and look in her eyes.
"would you be upset if i kiss you?" you ask
"I'd be upset if you didn't" she tells you.
You slowly lean in and so does she. finally your lips meet and sparks fly. You feel the same every kiss. Mirabel wraps her arms around your neck and you deepen the kiss. she smiles and pulls away. You chuckle as her glasses are fogged a bit. you take them off her and clean them.
"here you go" you put them back on her and kiss her cheek
"thank you " she blushes
you hold her hand and kiss it. time seems to flash back when you was with Annie on your first date. you close your eyes and hold your head as you get a headache. you open them and you are back with mirabel
"are you okay?" Mirabel ask concern
"yeah.. my head just started to hurt a bit. " you admit.
She lightly kisses your temples and that's something you remember her doing in her past lives.
"let's go eat. i bet that will help. " she tell you.
you stand up and help her up. she hold on you your arm as you both walk inside.
"go they're coming" you hear Dolores say
you hear multiple foot steps running from the door. you both look at each other and open the door. Mirabel's sisters and older cousins are trying to be "casual ". Luisa is holding up a piano and Isabela is putting flowers in camilos hair and Dolores just smiles at you both.
"oh hey guys. where were you?" Camilo ask as they wasn't spying.
"you guys are so embarrassing " Mirabel tells them
she drags you to the kitchen. You both grab your plates that was put away for you two and sit and eat together.
"I uh enjoyed watching the sun set with you. " she tells you smiling while looking down at her food
"hey don't hide that beautiful face from me. you can look at me while you talk" you tell her and grab her hand with your free one.
she looks at you with a slight blush
"can i tell you something ?" she ask
you nod and look at her
"I feel so connected to you. Like it's kind of crazy. I really like you"
"i like you too... would you want to be my girlfriend?" you ask hopeful
she nods and she's been wanting to be with you for a while now.
