People come and go,
Why bother making them stay?
You can't control everything life throws your way,
Just because you thought they were right,
Doesn't mean that they have to be,
Not everything's destined to be,
Which is why, my darling
Let the person go,
Let them fly and grow
Overthinking the possibilities,
Always trying to understand the hints,
Why can't I just give up on things?
I always try and try, and try..
Letting things go has never been my style,
Sentimentally set on you,
The memories I made with you,
Laughs and giggles I created with you,
It's all about you in my brain
I know, it's bad
Should let you go,
But the memories..I'll take them with me,
Pack them carefully in my bag,
Out I go, once again
I didn't think I'd be the one to leave this time,
Didn't think I'd ever say goodbye,
I'm not ready, never been
Please tell me you loved me;
One last time, dear..
Or don't, it's okay
You were once mine;
Now you're in somebody else's arms,
And that's alright..it's okay.
