chapter 18

We've finally made it to the sand village only to find put Kankuro had been poisoned. Were on our way to the hospital Ami's freaking out and crying tho I don't blame her.

"Kankuro!" Ami and Temari shouted in unison as we wet through the doors. Not long after Sakura made an antidote while Naruto Kakashi and I waited out side of Kankuro's room. I just sat and brought my kneed to my chest it's been a couple of days they probably could have killed Gaara by now. I thought as I buried my face in my knees. I felt tears start to fall.

"Hey Chi are you okay?" Naruto asked.

"I'm fine just leave me be." I said.

"You should rest now Chi you've been awake ever since we left the village." Kakashi said.

"No I can't sleep I'm fine." I said shakilly. They then dropped it.

"He's okay!" Ami shouted from inside I stood up and walked in. He was in fact awake holding my sister's hand.

"Where's Gaara?" I asked trying to hide my eyes.

"I'm not sure the Akautsuki took him." He said and looked at me sympathetically. We then got all the information we could I got ready to leave.

"Ami you can stay with Kankuro if you want." I said she nodded thankfully. I sighed and team 7 took off. We raced through the trees with Lady Chio. I ran ahead of everyone and sniffing out Sassori good thing Kankuro had the cloth. I was also strategizing I know my team will be not far behind.

"Its getting late we should stop for a while." Kakashi said.

"No! Lets just keep going." I shouted.

"Chi I get that your eager to find Gaara strangely even more than Naruto but we all need to rest especially you." He said and we came to a stop.

"Fine I'll take watch tonight." I insisted and sat by a tree. Everyone then began drifting off to sleep. Images of Gaara danced in my mind I felt tears stream down my face I began quietly sobbing.

"P-please be okay." I sobbed into my knees. I then felt a hand in my shoulder. I turned to see Lady Chio.

"Wjhy are you crying I thought leaf shinobi were stronger than this." she said.

"Its none of your business and I'm not even a real leaf shinobi I'm from the village hidden in the glaciers." I said angrily and turned my head.

"You must be the the white wolf then." She said I simply nodded.

"Go to sleep were leaving soon." I said and stood up. I quickly did some hand signs and created six ice senbon I then jumped in the air and started spinning and threw the senbon hitting the center of six different trees.

"Get up we're leaving!" I shouted as I landed on the ground in front Kakashi. He quickly got up and started packing up.

"My team isn't very far off." I said and helped Naruto pack up.

"Okay let's go." Kakashi said I took in. A whiff of air detecting Sassori's scent. He wasn't very far my eyes widened.

"This way!" I shouted and took off. Gaara was the only thing on my mind.

"Chi how far off are they?" Kakashi asked. I just then I picked up another scent.

"Some one is up ahead." I shouted. As we entered the clearing I saw oh no.

"Itachi Uchiha?!" I shouted. I shouted as a battle broke out between Naruto and Kakashi vs Itachi.

"No one look into his eyes." Kakashis said. I glanced to his torso.
