Chapter 26

I ran out of the restaurant as I jumped across the room tops I couldn't help but sigh. I'm extremely happy for her but now its gonna be difficult too cope with living alone. As I opened the door to the apartment I couldn't stop myself I closed the door and ran to my room.

"I'm happy for her I really am but now I'm alone again it's just like back then." I said to myself. I know I seem selfish right now but I can't help it. I let a few tears flow down my face I buried my head in my pillow and sobbed softly.

"No I can't handle living without her." I said. I then sensed chakra I sniffed the air and knew who it was I quickly wiped my tears away and kept my face in the pillows.

"I can still smell you." I said my voice muffled.

"Chi is there something wrong?" Gaara asked sitting on the windowsill.

"No I'm fine." I said with a smile.

"No Your not you seem sad and I've never heard you sigh this much since I meet you." He said firmly I then felt weight on the right side of the bed.

"Whats bothering you Chi?"

"Nothing." I said sitting up. He then grabbed my chin forcing me to look him in the eyes.

"Tell me the truth." He said I felt tears build up in my eyes but didn't let them fall.

"G-Gaara I love my sister and I've been through almost everything with her. Lately it's been like old times she always with Kankuro I'm happy for them I really am. I just can't stand it I don't wanna be alone anymore I want my sister to be there." I said unknowingly letting some of the tears fall.

"I know it's selfish and I hate feeling this way." I said. Gaara sighed and gently cupped my face in his hands wiping my tears with his thumbs.

"You are always welcome to come see her. I know it's gonna be hard but you'll learn to cope you still have your friends." He said and gently placed his forehead against mine.

"Alright." Was all I could say.

"Where's the goofy childish attitude I love. Weres the soft smile." He said I cracked a small smile and giggled. He then connected our lips it was a short passionate kiss.

"Thanks Gaara." I said once we pulled away. He gently smiled and nodded.

"So did you follow them?" He asked I looked at him.

"How did you know?" I asked.

"I know you." He said we both smiled and chuckled. I grabbed the camera from the side table and turned it on.

"You wanna see the pictures?" I asked with a small grin. He just shrugged so I moved closer to him. As I we scrolled through we giggled at some on the faces they made.

"Look at her face." I said and we burst out laughing. 

"Ah that's great." I said while catching my breath. Once we finished I put the camera back.

"Have you eaten yet?" Gaara asked.

"No I was just about to go make ramen want some?" I asked as I stood up. He grinned and nodded we then left my room and walked to the kitchen.

"Okay so what kind do you want?" I asked.

"I don't care." He said. As I started cooking he hugged me from behind. I giggled and continued cooking. I soon wiggled out of his grasp and walked to a cupboard. I began trying to reach for the spices but unfortunately I was to short. Just as I was about to give up a larger hand grabbed the spice.

"Here you go short stuff." Gaara said and handed it to me I took it and stuck my toung out at him.

"Hey, I'm not short my size is just cute." I said with a smile. He just chuckled as I walked back to the stove. I quickly finished I began getting a bowl for Gaara and I.

"Ouch." I said and placed my finger in my mouth.

"What happened?"

"Oh don't worry I just burnt my finger." I said he gently took my hand and inspected it.

"I'm fine." I said he turned the cold water on and pulled my finger under the running water. I smiled and turned the water off and turn only to be caught in a kiss.

"Woah hello." I said once I pulled away. He chuckled as I grabbed the bowls and filled each one. I then placed them on the table and grabbed two pairs of chopsticks.

"Here you go." I said placing the chopsticks next to his bowl and sat down across from him.

"Thank you." He said.

"No prob." I said and began eating. I looked over to Gaara he seemed to be thinking a lot I just brushed it off.

"So Gaara I just thought. You could eat much better food at your house or at a restaurant. Why did you eat here?" I asked actually kind of curious.

"That's because I like the way you make your food." He said I blushed slightly and smiled.

"Thanks." I said and continued eating. Before I even got to the bottom of my bowl Gaara finished.

"Want the rest of mine?" I asked pushing my bowl towards him.

"Aren't you hungry?" He asked.

"No I'm full now." I said he nodded and took the bowl. I then stood up and stretched. Ritghe as I stood up I felt a warm hand on my waist.

"What are you doing you big weirdo?" I asked and turned. He chuckled and placed his chin on my shoulder he slowly wrapped his arms around me. I smiled, tuned my head and captured his lips in a passionate kiss. We slowly pulled away and smiled at me.

"Chi?" He asked.

"What is it?"

"Well I uh I...l-love you." He said my heart beat quickened I blushed.

"I love you too." I said and kissed his lips once more. Just then I heard giggling and the door open. I saw Ami with a huge grin as well as Kankuro.

"Woah calm down you two." I said they quickly turned and looked at us.

"Oh uh hi." Ami said.

"Woah Gaara good job." Kankuro said.

"Okay well we're gonna go." Ami saod and dragged Kankuro out the door.

"I should get going too goodbye Chi.
I uh love you." He said.

"I love you too." I said as he closed the door. I love you I thought I'd never here someone say that to me and I never thought I would ever get to say it and mean it....
