Chapter 24

My bed is so warm it's never this warm I thought as I opened my eyes. To see Gaara sleeping lightly next to me. He looked so peaceful and cute I held back a giggle as he twitched his arm. I then noticed I was tucked into his chest. I sneakily escaped his grasp and shook his shoulder.

"Gaara time to wake up." I said softly.

"Five more minutes." He mumbled.

"No we need to leave soon." I said quietly. Until he opened his eyes he sighed and let out a yawn.

"Morning." I said with a small grin.

"Good morning." He said and sat up.

"Kay well get dressed I'm gonna go wake up Ami and Kankuro." I said and walked to the door. I walked to Ami's room opened the door. I quickly shook her awake.

"I'm up." She said so I kicked Kankuro's futon witch jolted him awake.

"Morning sleeping beauty." I said and walked out of Ami's room and back to mine. Gaara was just buttoning his last button. I smiled and walked to my dresser I grabbed my usual ninja attire and pj's. I quickly packed my bag and quickly changed in the bathroom. Once finished I walked out and tied on my headband.

"Um Chi wrong headband." Gaara said I looked down to see my villages symbol. I sighed and put the correct one on.

"You kept that?" Gaara asked.

"Well yeah I didn't really get to take anything with me. When they brought me here I was unconscious so was Ami." I explained He walked over and picked up my old headband and placed it in my bag. I smiled thanked him.

"Well we should get going." I said grabbing my guitar. He nodded and we walked to the living room and waited two minutes until Ami and Kankuro came out.

"Lets head out." Ami said I nodded and walked out the door. I walked next to Ami in front of Gaara and Kankuro.

"So Ami what do you think of Kankuro?" I asked.

"Well he's sweet he may act immature but he kind and romantic." She said I smiled and nodded.

"That's good." I said with a giggle. As we approach the gates I saw Ino, Sakura, Hinata, TenTen, Neji, Lee, and Lady Tsunade. Once at the gate I hugged everyone. Once I got to Neji I held out my hand for him to shake but to my surprise he pulled me into a hug.

"Omg guys we're bonding!" I said earning a hit to the head.

"Ow just like old times." I said and everyone chuckled. I backed up and turned to lady Tsunade.

"I wish you two luck." She said I smiled and bowed.

"Goodbye guys see ya soon." I said and made and icebord for me and Ami. I stepped on and noticed Gaara made a cloud of hovering sand.

"Hey idea thief." I said and smiled. We then took off leaving Kankuro jumping through the trees.

"Hey no fair." He shouted I giggled and made him one as well. We went on like that for a while in silence. I hovered closer to Gaara.

"Hey you wanna race?" I challenged he smirked and chuckled.

"Your so childish first one to reach two miles wins." He said.

"Your on!" I said and took off. He was a few feet behind me. He soon began catching up until we were neck and neck. The finish line wasn't far ahead I quickened my icebord and won by and inch.

"Yes I win!" I cheered and walked off the bord...again.

"I really hate gravity!" I shouted but right before I hit the ground sand caught me.

"Thank you." I said as the sand lifted me over to Gaara. Just as I was about to make another one Gaara grabbed my waist.

"No. Your gonna ride with me." He said sitting down and pulling me on his lap. I blushed and looked at the sun that was now setting.

"Lets make camp for tonight." Gaara said. We soon landed on the ground in the middle of the forest.

"Ami fire duty." I said.

"On it." She said and ran off to grab wood.

"Okay I've got cooking duty." I said and walked to the nearby stream. I sat the for a while unit I caught four fish in my ice. I made the frozen fish infront of me until I got back to camp Ami was placing the wood into a pile.

"Okay stand back." She said and did the hand signs.

"Fire ball jutsu!" She shouted breathing out a small fire ball igniting the wood.

"Alright." I said and unfroze the now dead fish I poked sicks through them and began cooking them. Every one then sat around the fire once the food was finished I passed one to everyone I gave Kankuro, Gaara, and Ami the bigger fish and I took the smallest.

"Okay so I was thinking Ami controls fire but you control ice. You two are like opposites. Why?" Kankuro rambled.

"Easy Ami was born first I was born second but I have Kurama and I inherited our mom's water and wind style but Ami inherited fathers fire style." I explained.

" I'm curious I'd like to know more about Kurama." Gaara said.

"Oh Kurama well she's known by many names such as Hakuro. She's the white wolf spirit of the land of ice it's said she used to protect the mountains until one day people began hunting her she became tainted and evil..." I started. 'What did you say you stupid girl!" Kurama shouted in my head I gripped my head in pain. I groaned and shook off the pain.

"Anyways so they sealed her away in a pregnant woman but the seal leaked through you could say and reached the unborn child." I said.

"That was our mother and that child was Chi. Our mom passed away giving birth to her and everyone feared her even I did for the longest time." Ami finished bringing her knees to her chest.

"Those who are the host for Kurama are known as the cursed White Wolf and feared in the land we come from." Ami finished looking at me sadly. I felt arms wrap around me I knew it was Gaara I sighed and turned towards him.

"Your not Kurama you never will be." He whispered in my ear I fake smiled and nodded.

"Chi?" Aim asked.

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry." She said my heart dropped.

"You don't have to apologize I understand." I said and stood up.

"Lets get some sleep." I said and placed out my bedding. Soon after Ami laied hers out next to mine I gently laied back and drifted off.

The next morning I woke up with Gaara snuggling my right side and Ami snuggling my left. I giggled and wiggled my way out and packed everything up.

"WAKE UP!!!" I yelled everyone jolted up and looked at me.

"Lets go." I said making an extremely large ice platform they quickly packed their bag and stepped on I made us move as fast as I could we reached the gates of the sand village in no time.

"Jeez fast enough!" Kankuro shouted. I just shrugged and stood by Ami. Soon she won't be with me soon we will be seperated...again....
