Chapter Seventeen

You look at your teammates, all of you in the van on the way to an abandoned building to spy on your new suspect for Viper's kidnapper. The mission suits are a nice change compared to the stupid commission uniforms. Your three classmates were still adjusting to theirs.

"Why do these suits have to be so goddamn tight?" Bakugou complained, pulling on his morph suit collar.

"Because they have to be flexible,, and we can't have loose fabric snag on anything." You explain. "Now, before we do a roll call, we have one more thing to address; Todoroki we can't use your name, Shoto, as your code name, so we need something to call you by temporarily."

"Oh...um." He sat and pondered.

"He could do Mercury, you know, because it's both hot and cold," Azail suggested as she adjusted her gloves.

Todoroki nods. "I guess that works."

"Mercury, it is then." You tap your earpiece. "Specks, did you get that?"

"Sure did."

"Ok, you can start the roll call."

"Ok fuckers, you know the drill, Agent Blaze."

"Here," Azail mumbled into her com, still fiddling with her glove.

"Agent Wendigo."

"Here," Maxwell leaned back, his eye trained on Azails glove.

"Agent Tigress."

"Present." El looked at the ceiling, looking a little bored.

"Agent Void."

"Here" Poor Al looked tired, still a little run-down, but you had to applaud the fact he didn't want to stay behind.

"Temporary Agent Deku."

"Here." Midoriya looked anxious. You knew it was his first stakeout, so you could understand his nerves.

"Temporary Agent Mercury."

"Uh...Here." You could tell Todoroki was still getting used to his agent name.

"Temporary Agent Dynamight."

"Here," Bakugou grumbled. His eyes have been trained on you since you got in the van. He was looking at you as if you were going to disappear, but you didn't say anything.

"And last but never least, the infamous Elite Agent Karma."

You make eye contact with Bakugou and smile, "Fucking here and fucking ready."

"Fucking good. Ok so, quick mission run down. Mr. Maki was the man we saw Violet talking to, sources say that this building could be the place Viper is being held, or it could just be the place Maki likes to do his personal work.

In teams of two, you will be going in and quietly snooping through the buildings. If you see Viper, do not engage, but remember where you are.

There are four buildings: Deku and Tigress in building one. In building two, Windigo and Blaze. In building three, Dynamight and Karma, and in the last building, we have Void and Mercury."

"Find information, and don't fuck it up."

You look at Bakugou and nod. He then nods back. The van pulls into an alleyway, and all of you get out one by one. You reach out and motion for Bakugou to grab your hand.

"Why are you fucking reaching your hand out at me?"

"Because I'm gonna teleport us into the building." He looks at your hand and reluctantly grabs it. You teleport yourselves on a hidden part of the roof.
