Everyone gathered around the big wooden table. As your team gets closer to finally catching Violet, you all decided regular HQ wasn't the safest option. Specks was kind enough to offer up his parent's home so that is where you were currently holding your meetings.

"Ok so we have Violet's records, We have proof, Viper is safe, now all we have to do is wait for Endeavor to give us the okay. After that, we can arrest him and reinstate Viper." Specks explains.

Endeavor was currently meeting with a part of Japan's government. He opened a case against Violet. If the case was successful you would be able to stop him quickly. If the case wasn't, that would be a big issue.

Endeavor had the kindness to leave his interns as assistants. He says it's because he believes this is a good chance for them to gain some experience. You think it's because the arrest will make them look good and give him and his agency some publicity. But that was an argument for another day.

Your team was using the information you had gained over the past few months to come up with the arrest plan. You had been sending your team on small information missions so you could execute the arrest perfectly.

On the last mission you had sent El and Maxwell out and they had been hit with some kind of illness quirk. They were both on bed rest until they got over what seemed to be the flu. Al and Azail were acting as nurses, and they were pretty good at it.

Azail practically jumped on the opportunity to take care of Max but tried to hide it as if she owed him. Al on the other hand was very open about wanting to help his boyfriend.

You and Speaks were at the point of betting when Azail and Max would get together and who would ask who out first.

"Oh so if we enter here and here, we should be able to catch them off guard." Azail points to two spots on the building layout you have before you.

You nod. "Yes, but I would also like to have two people here just in case we need some people to fall back on temporarily."

"When El gets better I'll see if he wants to do it with me," Azail suggests. You give her a nod in approval.

Your team finishes up the final touches on the main plan as well as comes up with other plans if things don't go the original way.

It's late by the time you wrap up so you grab your classmates and drive them back to the dorms. You texted Aizawa earlier to let him know that you will be coming back to campus after curfew.

You couldn't sleep. Every time you tried to close your eyes you could feel your heartbeat in your eyelids that urged you to wake up and stay alert. You couldn't have this mission fail.

After fitfully tossing and turning, fighting the sheets as they twisted and stuck to your legs, and punching your pillow in frustration, you opted for ditching sleep and getting up to get yourself a glass of water.

Once in the kitchen you turned on the sink and filled up for glass, chugging it as if it would give you clarity and diminish your anxiety. It did nothing but quench your thirst, something you have neglected today.

You headed back to your room but stopped in your tracks when the pounding in your chest felt like a sledgehammer. Ya sleep sounds like a joke at this point. Instead of continuing to your room, you rerouted to Bakugou's room.

Now outside his door, you knocked. You didn't want to call out his name, not wanting to wake up anyone else who was sleeping. "Bakugou." You whispered as a cat owner goes psst psst to get their cat's attention.

It takes a minute of patience and more gentle knocking before Bakugou appears before you with disheveled hair and half-lidded eyes. "Y/N?" He asked. His voice sounded raspy, obvious he was in a deep sleep before you ruined it. It was no surprise though, that the man goes to bed at eight o'clock sharp. "What's wrong?"

"Can I come in?" It must have sounded like an extremely stupid question Because Bakugou — still half asleep — managed to roll his eyes as if you could have just waltzed right in, no invitation necessary.

You shuffled inside and followed Bakugou to his bed. He flipped the covers up for you and you climbed inside. Curling into each other, you embraced and sighed relief. Bakugou sighed because he was finally back in his bed. You felt that he had fallen asleep with how silent the room was, but you were mistaken when he said, "you never answered my question."

"It's nothing."

"Don't 'it's nothing' me at this hour. Something is wrong and you're going to tell me whatever the fuck it is."

You looked into his eyes, which were illuminated by the moonlight that came through a crack in the curtains. They looked like rubies.

"I'm just nervous."

He arched a brow at you "'bout what?"

You went quiet for a moment. Meanwhile, Bakugou stared at you, giving you time to collect your thoughts.

"There is so much that could go wrong." you finally mumble out.

"It won't, You won't let that happen"

"You don't know that, there are so many things that can happen that we aren't properly prepared for."

Once again there was silence because you were right. You met his eyes.

"Katsuki," his name hung ominously in the air between the two of you. It left a chill in the room. "You have to swear that if anything is to happen to me, you are to just get out. Do not come after me or try to do something heroic. Just get out and continue living."

"Y/N -" Bakugou started.

You cut him off. "Promise me."

He didn't promise. He didn't even settle your nerves with an unenthusiastic "sure." He just pulled you in till you were nuzzled into his neck and he was buried in your hair. Calming hands stroked your back and he breathed deeply, which you followed. "Nothing," he swore. "Nothing will happen to you. I won't let it happen." He placed a light but tender kiss on your lips as if it sealed the deal.

Your future actions and what was to come still hung over your head like a guillotine. But miraculously you were able to fall asleep chasing Bakugou's rhythm, breathing in sync. His strong and secure hold on you made you feel safe. You trusted him. Even if he didn't promise, you trusted he would do the right thing.
