samantha, yasmine, moon, and rory. the popular girls. at first, it was the best thing that had happened to rory teller. what she didn't know, was how much yasmine had manipulated the poor, bullied seventh grader.
except, before sam, yasmine, and moon, rory had demetri and eli. they had been her best friends since kindergarten. when the girl joined the popular clique, she completely left them in the dust. she even began to bully them.
when tenth grade rolled around, she decided to become a better person and stop being a bully. her transformation starting with becoming friends with demetri and eli again. although, they wanted nothing to do with the girl.
suddenly, a new karate craze came into the valley. rory had been introduced to karate in elementary school. it didn't really interest her, until she heard that demetri and eli would be going to the new dojo in town by the name of 'cobra kai'. she slowly began to gain the trust of eli after defending him on a few occasions. as for demetri, he wasn't too keene about her still.
as the relationship between rory and eli began to grow, she started to learn more about him. everything is normal, until he comes into the dojo one day with a blue mohawk. he says he's trying to flip the script, just like rory had done in seventh grade. rory begins to realize this change wasn't just for eli's confidence, but for rory's attention as well.

hey guys! i'm so so excited to write this fic! i have a lot of ideas and plots that i want to put in this and i think it will really bring it together.
first, i wanted to say that i do not own the cobra kai series. i only own rory teller and her stories and plot points. the rest of the characters and plot belongs to the creators of the show. also, the idea of the layout of this chapter came from spvcwlkr 's book 'devil's advocate'. some of the layout was my own idea, but a lot came from the person i tagged!
secondly, continuing with the plot, i tried my hardest to make the book as close to the plot of the actual show as possible. of course there will be a few changes due to the addition of characters. some of them being, hawk's relationship with moon, the school fight scene, and other small points in the show that will be changing focus from another character to rory.
third, i wanted to give a little disclaimer before the book begins. this book includes abuse, eating disorders, self harm, and loss/grief. if any of these topics trigger you, PLEASE don't read any further. i will be giving warnings on the chapters that include any of these topics so if you do want to keep reading, you should skip past the chapters that could possibly trigger you.
lastly, i put a lot of hard work into this book. i am 100% not even close to the best writer on this app. i DO NOT in any way, shape, or form think that this book has the best writing. i honestly am not a good writer, i just wanted to turn my ideas into a story and try my hardest to make it look good. so please, ignore any grammar or spelling mistakes (i literally got a c in english last year 😭) anyways, i hope you all enjoy this story!!
