Miguel and Rory began punching the punching bags as they waited for Johnny. He had asked them to come to the dojo, but they were the only ones.

"Hey, hey enough! Save some for the tournament," Johnny laughed.

Rory and Miguel walked away from their punching bags.

"Why are we the only ones here?" Miguel asked.

Johnny looked at them. They all knew the answer, because they were the best shot Johnny had at the tournament. Yeah, some other kids were really good, like Hawk and Aisha. But, Miguel and Rory had been there since the beginning and were very clearly, the most talented.

"Your the only hope I have to winning this thing," Johnny said.

Miguel and Rory chuckled. They knew it was true. Miguel pulled out his phone and began to smile.

"What are you laughing at, Sam?" Rory asked, dragging the "m" in Sam.

Miguel blushed and laughed nervously. Johnny walked over to Miguel to see his phone. He noticed a picture of Sam and Rory.

"Hey, Teller! Your friends with LaRusso's daughter?" Johnny asked.

Rory shrugged. She didn't really know. She thought she was, but that was debatable at this point. The lunch episode confused her.

"You're dating a LaRusso?" Johnny asked Miguel, surprised.

Rory now knew about Johnny's hate for Daniel. Although, she didn't know the whole details.

"We need to talk. All of us," Johnny sighed.

Johnny walked the two students outside of the dojo. Rory and Miguel took their gi's off. The three sat down on the curb and Johnny faced them.

"It was Summer of 82'" He began, "Rocky III had just come out. My buddy Dutch was a huge Mr. T fan."

The kids weren't sure why Johnny was giving them the story of his whole teenage years. All they knew, is they were in for something.

"So, we went to the local theater to check it out. Sitting in front of of us was this group of cute chick, eating popcorn. Dutch started throwing Milk Duds at them," Johnny explained.

"What? Why'd he do that?" Miguel asked as they all let out a chuckle.

"Because it's an alpha move, man. Babes love when you treat them like crap," Johnny replied.

Rory gave them a look that shut Johnny up right away.

"Anyways, the girls got so pissed off that one of them got up and started yelling at us," Johnny said, laughing.

He paused for a minute, before looking at the two kids with a sort of serious but casual look.

"That's when I saw her for the first time," Johnny sighed.

"Saw who?" Rory asked.

"Rebecca Walker," Johnny said while smiling.

Rory's eyes widened and her heart sank. She knew that name. And it wasn't just from being heard around. It was her own mother's name.

Johnny glanced at Rory and saw her surprised face. He didn't really think much of it and carried on with his story.

"She dumped popcorn all over Dutch. Got butter all over him," Johnny added.

Miguel and Johnny broke out into laughter. Rory let out a fake chuckle. But, she was deep in thought. It was adding up now. If her mom and Daniel were friends in high school, then she would have known Johnny too.

"I could tell right away the chick was a fire cracker. She was badass. She actually did karate. Although, my old sensei would allow a girl to be seen near his dojo," Johnny smirked.

"Did you guys date?" Rory asked, for some reason dreading the answer.

"Well, first, I hit on her a few times. Because of the movie, incident, she didn't exactly trust me. But, I eventually won her. We went to Golf n Stuff on our first date, kissed on the Ferris Wheel, and dated for two whole years," Johnny explained.

Rory was still in a lot of shock. She couldn't believe her mom dated her sensei. Not even just that. She couldn't believe her mom dated Johnny Lawrence.

"So, what happened? Why did you break up with her?" Rory asked.

"Summer of senior year, we got into a fight. I figured we would work things out eventually. Then Daniel LaRusso came, and took her first. Then they began dating," Johnny replied.

Rory audibly gasped. Not only did her mom date Johnny Lawrence, but Daniel LaRusso too? Her mom mentioned being friends with Daniel in high school, but never dating.

"Wait, wait, is this the Rebecca Walker you're talking about?" Rory asked, showing Johnny a photo of her mom from her senior year.

Johnny looked at the picture and smiled. That's how Rory knew it was her mother.

"Yeah! Yeah that's her! How do you have a picture of her on your phone," Johnny replied.

Rory wasn't sure if she should tell him the truth. I mean, it wouldn't cause any harm, but she didn't want to cause more problems between Johnny and Daniel.

"Uh, that's she was a friend of my mom's. Back when she was in high school," Rory lied.

Johnny looked at her, in suspicion. Now Rory had to live with the fact that her sensei and the
man that was basically her dad were rivals because of her own mother.

After practice, Miguel invited Johnny and Rory over to his house for dinner. He lived in the same apartments as Johnny, so after that, Rory stayed at Johnny's apartment for a little bit. They sat on beach chairs right outside of his apartment.

"Johnny. There's something I need to tell you," Rory said.

She thought it would be best to tell him about her mother being his ex girlfriend. It was probably the best thing to do.

"Yeah, what is it?" Johnny asked.

"Well, you know how I had the picture of your ex girlfriend, Rebecca i'm my phone? It's because she-" Rory was interrupted by yelling.

A bunch of motorcycles pulled up to his apartment. Johnny and Rory stood up and backed up. They took their helmets off and Rory quickly realized one of them as Daniel's cousin, Louie.

"This is for Daniel LaRusso!" Louie shouted, smashing Johnny's car window.

Rory gasped and Johnny began to curse at them loudly.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Johnny screamed.

"Payback," Louie smiled.

He then turned his attention to Rory. He noticed her as Sam's best friend and Daniel's former student.

"Rory Teller?" Louie said, stopping.

She felt like her heart skipped a beat. She looked away from Louie. Now Daniel would be even more upset with her. But she didn't care anymore.

"Stop it, Louie. I know Mr. LaRusso didn't send you to do this!" Rory shouted.

Louie looked away and started to smash Johnny's car even more. Rory began to think, what had she gotten herself into.
