I woke up the next day to no Maximo, he had left a note saying he had gone to the hospital to see his mom then go talk to Carmine about whatever he needed yesterday.

my great aunt has phoned the care workers and said she wants to have me over for a couple weeks

*Knock Knock* "baby can I come in?" my mom questioned "yes mom what's up" I said as she walked in "you have a collage letter" she smiled slightly when she said that I froze what if I didn't get in "Farah" she clicked her fingers "yeah" I looked back at her "open it" my mom handed me the letter and I grabbed it "mom what if I don't get in" I sighed "stop thinking negative Farah open it" she stood there and folded her arms "okay" I opened up the letter and read it slowly and read the part that said I got accepted "OH MY GOD MOM I GOT IN I ACTUALLY GOT IN I'M GOING TO BE A LAWYER" I started jumping I was so happy "WELL DONE BABY I'M SO BLOODY PROUD OF YOU" she ran and hugged me "my baby is going to be a lawyer" my mom smiled at me

"I didn't think I would be able to do it" I sighed in relief "You're going to NYU baby you should be so proud of yourself" my mom smiled taking the letter to see for herself "I am proud of myself trust me" I replied "you going to tell your friends and the family or do you want me too?" she questioned "you can tell the family but I'll tell grandma and my friends" I smiled at her "okay so what are your plans for today?" she asked "I'm going to help Thalia pack to stay at her great aunts other than that I'm not sure" I said starting to look through my closet "who is this Thalia girl?" my mom questioned "She is the new girl and we kind of bonded in class" I looked at her "I'm glad to hear You're making new friends baby" she smiled "well I'll let you get dressed" she added "thank you mom see you later" I said as she walked out

I headed to my car and drove to Thaila's house it was about a 20 minute drive from my house, I arrived and texted Thalia I was here.

"hey come on it" I heard Thalia say from her step and I got out my car "Fancy home" I said looking around "my foster parents are rich but they're away right now seeing their biological son at collage" she rolled her eyes and sighed "and they left you?" I questioned "well I am going to stay with my aunt" she laughed "fair enough" I laughed "anyways come in" she said as I walked in and closed the door

"okay just take those two boxes and I'll carry the bags" She said pointing and I grabbed the boxes "so I have something to tell you" I looked at her "and what's that?" she looked at me "I got accepted into NYU" I smiled "what omg congrats Farah" she smiled and clapped for me "thank you" I laughed "I'm proud of you" she added on "I'm proud of me too" I replied "what Major?" she asked " Law" I smiled "wow my girl is going to be a lawyer I'll keep that in mind" she winked "always bail you out" I winked back and she laughed

"okay come on let's get these in my car" she said "okay" I followed her to the car and helped move her stuff after that she taken me to get coffee for a thank you then I went home to tell everyone about the news

at home "hey baby how was your day?" my mom asked "good" I smiled "have you told everyone yet?" she questioned "sending out a group text right now to the important people" I looked at her and smiled and I sent the text everyone texted back so quick congratulating me and saying how proud they we're I finally felt like I had done something right with my life for once and I wasn't letting my dad or mom down, it was my biggest fear failing my parents when they had given up everything for me and my brother

"so for a little gift for getting into collage I want you to have this" my mom handed me a small box with a bow on it "what is it?" I smiled and questioned her "your father picked it when you we're 11 when you first said you wanted to go to NYU" she smiled at me and I opened the box, it was a his NYU keychain from when he went to collage I started crying at the thought of it "oh baby come here" my mom hugged me tight "it feels like he's with me and now I'm to the place he always wanted me to" I wiped my tears "he would be so proud of you Farah Anne Clarke" my mom smiled and looked at the keychain "I pray everyday he would be" I looked at it with her

"what was that about?" my mom looked at me "Maximo's mom has finally woken up" I smiled and grabbed my car keys "that's amazing news want me to come with you?" she added "yes I'm sure she'd like you there" I said with a smile and we left and drove to the hospital, when we got there I seen Carmine, Mr Anton, Matilde, Aria and Maximo all in her room and me and my mom walked in

"well isn't this a nice surprise" Angelina said raising her head "glad to see you awake again Angelina" I held her hand and smiled "so nice of you both to come see me" she smiled at me and my mom "been wishing a safe recovery" my mom added "it means a lot Linda thank you" she replied "now who can get me some water my mouth feels dryer than sand" she laughed and Maximo got her a cup of water and we all sat around Angelina and talked about everything she had missed while in her coma
