After You Left

Chapter 19

"Hello!" I yell out, my voice echoes throughout the vaste forest, it's too dark to see anything beyond a few trees, there's a lot of movement before a group of people come out from behind the trees, I gasp when I see the couple's face. Mom, dad?" I ask shocked and confused.
"You're not our daughter, you've never been our daughter, you're the reason Connor is dead."

"That's enough you two." Another man's voice echoes, this time from someone younger, someone the same age as I or slightly older, it's too dark too see his features well. "I have been dying to meet you Lea." He says stepping closer, he leans down in front of me and tilts my head to look at him. "How has life without him been so far, any desires to end it." He says with a smirk.

"What the fuck do you want from us?" I ask with a glare.

He leans in until our noses are touching and there's barely half a centimeter better our lips. "You and everyone you love to suffer the same way my mom suffered, I want to make you wish I kill you as I torture every single person you love starting with the other guy than I will shoot a bullet through your head and dump your body in the fucking ocean." When he moves and the light catches his eyes my heart stops, icy blue eyes the same shade as Liam's.

"Go to hell." I say through gritted teeth, he smirks and before I know it I feel a blow to my left side causing the chair to topple over, I feel a knife through my thigh and I grit my teeth to keep in my scream, than more people start beating me, I pull against the ropes but it's too tight.

"Alright, that's enough for now, leave the kid out here with her." He says before walking away, someone places Connor on the ground a few feet away from me, my whole body aches and I can barely see a thing, the moment they leave I get myself up, the chair had broken so all I had to do was get rid of the rope.

With every movement I make the knife in my thigh twists more, I start seeing white dots.

Breathe princess, come on, you can do it, just get to him.

I breathe and ignore the pain as I move the rope away, i manage to get myself up and rush to baby Connor, he's unharmed, he's breathing fine, I sigh in relief and carry him up, the sun is nearly out.

Follow the sun's direction, it could get you out, remember to breathe princess.

I didn't know if I was too tired to the point where I was hallucinating him speaking to me but it didn't matter because I will follow it, Connor stirs in my arms and his eyes slowly open.

His eyes well up with tears and he starts sobbing.
"Shhh it's fine alright, we'll get you back to your mom." I say calmly and smile.

"I can walk." He says in his cute baby accent voice, I nod and put him down, I tear a piece of my shirt and tie around my leg before taking his hand in mines and following the sun's direction. "Mommy says that uh blood means hurt." Connor says adorably worried, I nearly burst out laughing but the pain prevents me from doing it.

"Just a bit of a walk and we'll be with your mommy soon." I say smiling and we start walking, every step hurts, I'm too lightheaded, lost too much blood.

Just a bit more.

Dylan's POV

"You're telling me it's been 24 fucking hours and I'm only finding out about this now!" I say angry, my blood boiling from the anger.

"Shut the fuck up alright, we're all worried about her and have been trying our best to find her." The oldest guy, James, says annoyed.

"That's enough you two." The british one, Drew, snaps. "My son was also taken and I don't bloody have time to listen to you both bickering like bloody high school girls."

"What about Liam?" The dude who the honey blonde hair, Alex, asks.

"Why this asshole?" I ask with a groan.

"Because the person behind all this is his brother." Alex says.

"What now?" I ask confused.

"As much I would love to chatt to you about this, I really do think we should find them first." James says rolling his eyes.

Lea's POV

We've been walking for hours, Connor is sort of going off the edge and looks like he will burst out crying but when I ask him if he wants to rest he says no, I on the other hand can barely take a step without feeling pain or without going dizzy, my breathing is too ragged, the sun is up high and I can't breathe. The woods do provide a lot of cover from the sun but it's still scorching hot.

Than Connor stops causing me to frown confused but than I heard it as well, movement, I quickly grab his small hands and get behind a tree, my body screams in agony and I ignore it.

"Lea, tell me you're here raspberry!" His voice echoes across the forest, Liam, I don't know whether to sigh in relief or run.

I push Connor behind me and step out, Liam curses as he takes me on before striding towards me and I instinctively take a few steps back.

"I'm not here to hurt you Lea, I found out through a contact of mine that he left you here." Liam says calmly, Connor bursts into a fit of giggles and runs to Liam before I can stop him and Liam is instantly carrying him up, than Liam turns to me. "Come with me Lea please."

I take another step and the pain is unbearable to the point where I hold on to the tree with my eyes squeezed shut, I hear Liam cursing than his arms around my waist, I want to pull away but I can't get enough force to do it, I can barely breathe and my lungs are squeezing for more air and rest.

"Trust me one last time, I won't hurt you." Liam says quietly and I feel him carrying me up bridal style and I fall into this huge void of darkness.

Too bright, everything was way too bright as I try to focus around, panic floods through me.

"Relax raspberry, you're safe." I snap around to find Liam's icy blue eyes focused on me and they're filled with worry.

"Connor." I manage to say, my throat is as dry as the dessert, Liam moved a bit to show me Connor sleeping on the other seat.

"You lost a lot of blood, you slept the whole flight here and you are lacking a whole lot of nutrients, it wasn't safe to put you on anything during the flight so right when we drop you home, the doctor will be there to do the whole check up, your leg got 8 stitches, just don't put a lot of pressure on the leg." Liam says calmly, I nod and lean back on the seat.

About 30 minutes later we're stopping by the house. "I informed them that you both are safe and that we're here." Liam says and carries Connor, he stirs but goes back to sleep, my door is open and I get out, I look around and than my eyes land on him, Liv is already running across the pathway and she takes Connor from Liam and Drew pulls them both to his chest.

Dylan strides towards me and I do my best to meet him halfway through as he pulls me into his chest, than he lifts my face and connects our lips in a broken and short kiss, his hand gently interlocks in my hair.

"I thought I had lost you, I thought you'd be gone." Dylan says barely above a whisper, he leans his forehead against mine, his one hand cups my cheek whilst the other is around my waist.

"I love you." I say and lean more into his arms and he chuckles and tightens his hold around me, my tears soak his shirt.

"I love you infinity." Dylan says kissing the top of my head.
