(Requested by my heart and brain)
So basically I simp for Camilo and really want to show what I'm like in real life while showing my love for him.

Ruby/My POV
I swear under my breath as a group of kids run past me, almost running straight into me.
"Fucking hate kids," I grumble.
"What?" I jump and turn to face Camilo Madrigal himself, standing with his arms folded against his chest.
"Nothing," I say awkwardly, rubbing my arm.
"Right, hey, I've gotta go babysit Cecilia and her brother, wanna help?" He asks me with a toothy grin. I smile and nod, letting him grab my hand enthusiastically and pull me away.
We walk for maybe, ten minutes or so, before reaching the house. I step behind Camilo, making him walk up to the door first.
"What was that for?" He asks as I duck behind him.
"Social anxiety," I respond, scratching the back of my head. He chuckles and knocks on the door.
A tall man answers, shaking Camilo's hand and smiling at me. I grin nervously back.
"I hope you don't mind, señor, but I brought my friend to help!" Camilo says, pulling me forward. I grab his arm and nod.
"Perfect! I should only be an hour or so, Cecilia and Marco are in the living room." The man explains. Camilo nods and walks inside.
"I've never babysat before, you know. Only my Abuela's dog." I state, staring at the ground with a puzzled expression. Camilo turns to me and rolls his eyes.
"You'll be fine," He grabs my hand and leads me into the room where the kids are.
"Hola!" Camilo greets the children, shifting into Antonio. Both of the kids laugh and they look at me. I panic and smile awkwardly.
I end up sitting on the floor, letting Camilo and the kids do their own thing. Then Cecilia comes up to me.
"Excuse me, miss lady, are you Camilo's girlfriend?" She asks.
"Or wife?" Marco shouts from behind her. I look at the ground.
"Okay kids, maybe don't ask confusing questions to Ruby. They aren't very clever today," Camilo says frantically, pushing the kids away from me. I glance up at him with a bored look.
Then Camilo starts talking to the kids about pronouns, making sure they know not to use incorrect ones for people, before playing with them again.
I turn my gaze away and begin to daydream.
I'm not Camilo's girlfriend, or wife, but do I want to be? Maybe. Maybe I like him. Hell, I think I do. Shit, I can't tell him. I literally suck at explaining my feelings.
"Ahem," I snap back into reality and lift my head. Marco is staring at me, his nose a centimetre away from mine.
"We wanna play family! Your the mum, Camilo's the dad and were the kids!" He practically screams. I cringe and lean back, but nod. He giggles and runs back to the other two.
I sigh and get up before wondering aimlessly to where they hang out.
"So you two are married and kiss and stuff!! And we're your kids!" Cecilia explains excitedly. Me and Camilo share an awkward glance at the mention of the word 'kiss'.
"Okay, my children, go run around outside for a minute, then come back." Camilo says, nodding to the backyard. The children follow his command.
"You don't have to if-" He starts.
"No, no, it's fine! I swear to god, I literally don't care." I say hurriedly.
"You know, If you like me just say so," Camilo says teasingly, causing my face to turn red.
"Yeah, yeah. Maybe I like you," I admit.
Cecilia and Marco run back inside. They are just about to begin yelling at us when they're father returns. He thanks us and lets us leave before we have to get 'married' and kiss and whatnot.
We start walking around the markets.
"Camilo, what I said was true you know," I stop and Camilo turns to face me.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I know. I was pretending to be Dolores walking past the other day when you were telling Mirabel, so I know already." He shrugs as though it isn't anything major.
I whack him in the arm, and he looks at me.
"Sorry, but you deserve that," I tilt my head and shrug.
"Aye, calm down. I like you too anyways!" Camilo puts his hands up in surrender.
"Oh. Okay." I say quietly. I chuckle nervously and rub my arm.
"So, uhh," Camilo looks at me and rolls his eyes.
"God Ruby, you're so awkward," He says playfully.
"Yup." I look up at him.
Camilo grabs my hand and runs off to Casita.
"By now, I should be used to this!" I yell, taking in puffs if oxygen as he dodges people.
We don't stop at the front door though. Camilo leads me into the dining room and we meet with his Abuela.
"Ah, Ruby. Are you going to be staying for dinner?" She asks, up turning the corner of her mouth into a tight grin.
"Can their parents come too? Isn't it, like, some family tradition that the family comes when someone joins our family?" Camilo asks, staring at Alma hopefully.
Abuela Alma smiles and nods.

"Welcome to la casa Madrigal, you know your family is always welcome here." Alma states, bowing her head slightly before sitting down.
"Thanks for having us," My mother says happily.
"Your child is very weird," Camilo says to my parents. I scoff and hit him in the shoulder.
"Oh, we know," My father states with a grin.
"Hey, Dad, um. You know how you said that if I ever got a boyfriend I had to bring him home first?" I say fiddling my fingers.
"Um, when are you free to talk to him? Because he's kinda messed up in the head," I point at Camilo and he smiles anxiously.
"Hmm, bring him over on Sunday," My mama suggests. Camilo turns his glance to me and I laugh.
"At least I'm not awkward." Camilo grumbles. I laugh again.
