Luffy lay in the crow's nest of Alvida's ship, pondering a few things.

Like why he wasn't as perceptive as usual. His Haki wasn't working entirely either, otherwise he would've sensed Morgan from at least a mile away.

Maybe it's something to do with Hitori's time travel?

At least he kept his older body, so that was useful. Of course, he didn't keep his Gum Gum powers, but he was still physically the same.

And on the subject of Devil Fruits, his Fruit was still a mystery. So far, he knew it was flame-related and a Logia, though he didn't know what it actually was.

Maybe it's like his, where he can summon flame from the sky and use it to make structures of destruction.

Or maybe it's like Ace and Sabo's where they can fly and create it from their bodies. That could be cool.

This entire time travel thing was so sudden, and the deaths of his crew still lingered in his minds. Nami's burnt body, Sanji's hardly recognisable face, Robin's peaceful expression.

But he couldn't mourn them, not while they were still around and living. He had to move on. His nakama were the most precious things in the world, along with his brothers. He couldn't let any of them die again. So he had to be stronger.

Luffy stood up, watching the horizon with content. It was nice.

He glanced down at the deck, watching Coby shuffle around in complete paranoia. It would be hilarious to mess with him. Yeah. It would.

Luffy grinned, adjusting his strawhat, before jumping off the cockpit and landing behind Coby silently, his fingers at the ready.

He jabbed Coby in-between his ribs and his waist, making the poor boy jump in shock and a little pain. Coby yelped, pacing around, trying to subdue his racing heart with a hysterical Luffy laughing at every move he made, much to his chagrin.

"That wasn't funny, Luffy!" Coby pointed his small, stubby little finger at the Captain.

"What wasn't funny?" Zoro asked before Luffy could respond to Coby.

"Nothing!"

"OK I guess. Anyway, Luffy it's your turn to watch Alvida. Have fun." Zoro smirked, heading up to the crow's nest where Luffy rested before.

"Uuurrrggghhh fiiiiiiiineeee." Luffy groaned, dragging his feet to the lower deck, where Alvida was being held.

Once he was gone, Zoro turned to Coby.

"Ya sure nothing happened?" He asked.

"SHUT UP!"

Luffy walked in to a pink room with flowery decorations everywhere, a mirror every 2 metres, and a large King's sized bed with satin sheets and plump feather pillows.

A sofa lay to the side, directly opposite a flat screen TV, which happened to be where Alvida was tied up, seemingly unconscious.

But Luffy just knew she wasn't.

"You can stop pretending now, OK?" He told the limp figure.

As soon as he said that, her eyes fluttered open and her hair slipped over her shoulder.

"Perceptive! I would expect no less from the man who beat me twice." She winked, still struggling with her bonds, surprised she couldn't just slip out.

"Nah it's just common sense." He blanked.
