Fever || Sunghoon x reader

A few moments after Sunghoon closed the phone, stress came over him. He could feel a burst of emotions. Everything was going upside down in his head. His heart throbbed. It was going up and down fast and slow. A warm feeling took over his brain. He couldn't comprehend what was happening to him. 

The right solution was far away from his thoughts. He wanted to chase this feeling away, but something about this new experience was so addictive. Even though he felt sick, the addictive part was the warm sense that had been introduced as butterflies in his stomach.

Considering everything he assumed it was better to ignore the feeling rather than endanger his career. He thought not only about himself but also about the members. How would they feel if they had to end their dream because of him? He always tried to do the best for them. After all, they were his second family. Sharing the same dream made them so close that they were technically brothers, well, at least some of them.

The boy sat down on the floor and lost himself in thoughts. What was right and what was wrong? The answer would be different for everyone, so he began searching for his own. While determining everything, the others were discussing what would be the best solution. 

"Hyung, why don't you start taking the pills?" Ni-ki offered with a questionable tone. It was his choice, and what's more, it was kind of dangerous.

"I'm not sure, isn't it dangerous?" Sunghoon asked a little scared for his health. And he had a point. The side effects included strong headaches, vomiting, weakening of the immune system, fainting and even death. What would he do with his occupation if even one of the effects presented? 

"I have been taking them since I-land. In the beginning, it wasn't the best, but later on, my body got used to it." The maknae shared his experience with both and encouraged Sunghoon to take them. And still, it was his choice to make. 

"Wait, why? Have you by any chance met your soulmate?" Jake wondered this since it was weird to use them for prevention. But nobody might know.

"No, it is just prevention. The life of an idol is not easy in that aspect." He answered quickly without much thought and the others believed him.

"I will think about it if I feel it again." That was his final decision. At least, for now. 

After the conversation, he calmed down a little. He felt much more secure knowing that his members were behind his back. But still, that feeling was chasing him everywhere.

On the plane

"What did you say? You felt the fever!"

When you heard that, you were astonished. Heeseung's words got you frozen in place. The feeling was so strange as if someone turned off your power button. A moment after, you got on your senses and comprehended what was happening. Both of you were entering their personal space.

"Auden, we have to go away!" You yelled while whispering, so nobody could hear you. You knew too much already. You had a sense of responsibility because if you knew a little too much, it would be dangerous not only for you but for them.

"Okay, you have a point." The last word from him before you went away. You respected them and didn't want to intrude on them. 

Your guts told you it was too unsafe to continue stalking on them. Both of you got your things. Wandering looks were seen by you, but you didn't pay attention. The only thing you looked at was Auden who walked in front of you. 

You arrived next to your seats. You took them and carried over with the things you did before standing up. But not everything was the same. Sunghoon had found his soulmate? You knew he was an idol and didn't have a chance. However, something about him was different. This safe feeling while listening to his lines in their songs was eating you up inside. 

Somehow only 3 hours were remaining. 3 hours until you went to your dream town. Seoul was waiting for you, and you knew nothing had to distract you until then. You had to work on establishing a stable job and buying a big house with a place for your future family.

"I don't think it was a good idea to eavesdrop on them." This sentence had left your mouth without even noticing. You didn't know why you had said that. Even you had covered your mouth after saying that.

"You are worried after hearing that Sunghoon has found his soulmate, right? It's normal, that's everyone's first reaction when they hear that their bias has found someone." Your best friend calmed you down. He thought that the situation was different, but even half of that wasn't true. And after all, it had worked on you.

"Let's go to their concert." Your eyes widened. To be honest, you were scared. You were scared that it would go wrong. Without explanation, you just thought like that. Without any reason. However, you didn't want to refuse. Since they had got your attention, you wanted to try going to their concert.

"It will compensate on eavesdropping on them. After all, we will pay for the tickets. So, let's go." That was the final drop to convince you. Nodding in agreement, you hinted to him that you were ready. His eyes lightened up in agreement. He wanted to go since their concert, so it was a relief for him to know that he had someone to go with him. 

You had agreed, so you began listening to their other songs. After all, you wanted to be ready for their concert. Something new had joined your to-do list. Welcome to the new group you were stanning. You had a reminder to search them up when you go home. 

You got your headphones and turned on the volume. The strange thing was that you always recognised Sunghoon's voice. While listening to their songs, you fell asleep. 

And that's how the real deal started.
