Fever || Sunghoon x reader

"I like you!" (in your native language) Sunghoon told you with a sweet and soft voice. The way he looked at you was screaming that you were the only one for him, and at the same time, he couldn't give in to this feeling.

"Hey, um, it has more romantic meaning than friendly." You corrected him, hoping he didn't mean it the way you thought. Honestly, you liked him too, but that was only a dream. The thought of confessing to him in a dream and after that pretending as if nothing had happened wasn't to your liking.

"I like you!" The boy repeated the statement, which made your legs weak. Every single time he said these words, your heart skipped a beat. The realisation hit you, however. All of this was a dream. Well, at least you thought so.

"Do you think it's true?" Your final step was to test him out whether he felt that way for real.

"Just let me flirt~ I don't do it with anyone else, even with the engenes~" Sunghoon whined, craving for more. It made him feel pleased seeing your flustered face every time. 

"Now that you mentioned. I wanted to ask you about the engenes and the whole situation of being an idol. When we are here, I forget that you are famous." You always wanted to know what's happening inside the world of idols.

"Wow, interesting question. Do you want to know something in particular?" The male asked while sitting down on the field, watching you.

"No, anything is fine." Every fan craved some information. The important thing was not to jump over the boundaries. However, you didn't ask as a fan. You asked as a friend.

"Well, let me start with the fact that a lot of things are different than the fans imagine them to be." He started with a simple sentence. You sitted yourself next to him since it seemed that he was going to talk a lot. While you listened, the both of you were looking at the cherry blossom tree in front of you.

"The members of each group are much closer behind the cameras, but not everything is flowers and roses. There are problems between them too. After all, it's not easy to live with someone. Especially when the group is bigger." The first thing that he discussed was the friendship of the idols.

"Okay, so couples. There are a lot of couples in the entertainment industry, but most of them aren't together for long. Here's a secret, there are couples in some of the groups too. Don't tell anyone about it, haha." That wasn't much of a surprise for you. It was logical.

"Is that so? By the way, can I lay on your shoulder?" You questioned if he was comfortable with you laying on him because you were somehow tired. It was strange to be tired in a dream, but things happen.

"Yeah, it's not a problem." Your head was placed on his shoulder as you adjusted yourself a little more comfortable. His body shivered as well as yours. Your body temperature was rising. He looked at you before continuing, so he would make sure you were cosy enough. The whole scene was so sweet that if someone saw you, they would think you were a couple.

"Also the shipping. Some of the idols don't like it, but most of them do. The problem comes with the companies. The staff restricts the members who are being shipped from any physical contact on every kind of content that is shown to the fans." Your concentration was on his voice. You were so soft for him. Every single word that left his mouth made an impact on you.

"Another thing is almost every idol know each other. There are awards, after parties, group chats where the idols can get to know each other. Take me for an example. I know a lot of other idols from being an MC and award shows." Fighting with shyness while talking about his life was working. He was getting used to you being this close to him. Even if it was a dream, he didn't want it to end.

"The schedule of an idol is super busy around comebacks. However, there are times when it's not that bad." You didn't sense when you had fallen asleep on him. The warmth coming from him together with his scent was a combination of comfort, which could make you fall asleep in his arms faster than any sleeping pill.

Sunghoon looked down to see you sleeping on him. Seeing you this cute only for him made his heartbeat so fast that it could wake you up. He moved your head on his lap, so you could sleep more comfortable. His hand travelled on top of your head as he patted a little. After that, he started playing with your hair while whispering sweet things for you.

"Only if I could make you mine."

"Seeing you sleeping on my lap makes me even more in love with you."

"If the world wasn't that cruel, I would have made you mine until now."

Things like that travelled around the beautiful field full of white daisies. A tear appeared on Sunghoon's cheek while he was thinking about how he had to wake up and meet the harsh reality far from you. 

His wish to stay away from the feelings couldn't be fulfiled. His desire for you was stronger, and it was growing every single day. But knowing that he had to hide wasn't cool at all. Also, he was supposed to have a soulmate somewhere near him, so he didn't want to be in any relationships before he found his significant other, especially when they were supposed to be close to him now.

While thinking, the atmosphere was turning darker. He looked around and understood that he was going to wake up. Before disappearing from the field, he bent down. The boy was getting closer and closer to your face. He could feel your heat, as well as you could feel his, which comforted you even more. However, a second before yours and his lips merged, he woke up. 

Damn, that was close was over his mind. Well, it was his time for overthinking. Besides, it was quite early, so he decided to stay in bed and think about everything. He thought that his head was playing a game with him, making him dream of you once again. 

He was about to kiss you, and the dream disappeared before he could. That made him sorrowful. This whole situation was so confusing. His feelings for you were clear, but the obstacles were a lot.

After thinking for quite some time, it was time for school.
