Few minutes passed in silence, as only the sound of the rain and the dancing of branches along with the wind was heard. But this silence was so soothing to my soul. Strangely comforting.
Suddenly the rain started to pour more as i started to get wet and feel the biting cold. I blowed my palm and rubbed them for heat. But however it was useless.
I felt so cold that even my legs started to shiver until a sudden warmth surrounded me.
A gulp went down my throat as his figure surrounded my small body. He held his arm over my head making sure that his long hanbok sleeve is covering me from rain. And with his other hand he pulled me closer, not too close but, close enough for me to hear his beating heart.
And even in the rain, suddenly everything around me went silent as only the sound of his heart ringed down my ears making my stomach tingle.
Even if I stay a bit longer I would collapse.
I said to myself and looked down trying to hide my flustered face and my stupid smile
Suddenly I realised that Prince Taehyung was getting wet in the rain and I asked him if he was okay. But only his silence and the cold rain replied me. I can feel a pair of eyes staring at mine intensely making me more flustered and embarrassed.
As I looked down again without knowing what to do, "Shushh" suddenly I heard him whisper in my ear "There's someone else here"
And with that my heart crushed in fear. Without making noise or much movement, i slightly peeked behind him through his shoulders. I suddenly gasped in surprise to see a shadow moving behind the bushes which hid us from rain. But Prince Taehyung tightened his grip on me making sure it's okay. He knows how to comfort someone I thought to my self and just when i was about to chuckle, i was pulled back to the reality—
I pressed my hand against my lips to make sure I wouldn't make a noise. It was dark and we both stood still. With startled eyes, I again peeked at the person who's face was covered. I can see him walking slowly in circles. Tears welled up in fear.
He suddenly stopped and looked around and just like that, without warning he aimed at Prince Taehyung's back making my eyes widen
My heart fell down my stomach and my mind went blank, as I quickly turned Kim Taehyung back and pushed him against the tree's trunk. A soft, loud gasp left my mouth as my widened eye never narrowed down.
Our hearts raced and now the coldness of rain has completely surrounded us. Prince Taehyung immediately took a big stone and aimed his eyes. He quickly lifted me in his arms and rushed behind the tree, into the deep woods. My eyes were still shot opened, without being able to digest what just happened as blood kept flowing from my back.
After a safe distance and the long run, Prince Taehyung quickly hid behind a big rock and gently placed me down, still wrapping his arm around my waist. He cussed under his breath and checked weather he was still following us and luckily no.
Prince Taehyung looked around plucking some leaves and washed them in the pouring rain. Without any hesitation he removed his hanbok and tore the inner part of his dress exposing his bare chest.
"P..prince t-"
"Shushh" he cut me off "allow me to take care of you" he said looking straight in my eyes which made my heart less heavier.
I nodded in pain as he pulled me towards him. I rested my forehead on one of his shoulder. The sword has made a deep cut in my back making me shut my eyes tight in pain. He quickly untied my hanbok and yet again the coldness of rain braced my bare body
But soon it felt warm as Prince Taehyung caressed around my wound to make it less painful. He wiped down the blood and pressed it with a cloth for sometime to stop the blood flow. And suddenly he squeezed the leaves juices on my back making me groan "it hurts" i cried in pain, trying hard to hold back my tears
"Look at me" he ordered whispering in my ears
I gathered all my might to look at him, only to find that his strong alluring gaze were already on my eyes. For few seconds i was so lost in him but soon my eyes glistened when He almost finished applying the medicine. He broke his eye contact making me go crazy. I looked down again as i started to dug in my nails nervously
He slowly yet steadily wrapped the cloth around my fragile body and a tear slipped down my eyes. He quickly took his hanbok and tucked me tight, making me warm and comfortable. I suddenly noticed the wound in his hand but I couldn't help myself to ask him as my own words choked me
"Why did you save me?" He broke my thoughts as he whispered in a yelling tone
It was a simple question but I couldn't find myself to answer that. How can I answer when I myself don't know why. I kept quiet as i was still playing with my nails, looking down.
He sat beside me and left a big sigh. "Does it still hurt?" He asked me with concern.
An other one simple question and tears welled up but I kept nodding as a sign of 'no' to control myself
"Cry it out" he said facing me as my tears rolled down faster, one by one
"I..it..ITHURTSss....sss..s..ssss" i said as i broke into tears within seconds as he allowed me to rest on his shoulder. He listened to my tears silently as he kept patting the back of my palm to reassure it's okay.
And even in this cold biting wind, the person who is in front of me feels strangely warm,
