The pain is getting the best of me. It's unbearable and suffocating. I couldn't think anything as my mind became foggy again but suddenly a distant voice was heard
My eyes shot up open. I crawled to a certain distance and the voices were much clear
"She must have started decaying" i heard one of them laugh
"Maybe the bear left only her bones" the other joined too
"Speak an other word and you will be the one dying"
Brother
I heard my brothers voice. He's here to save me. I threw some stones towards the direction from which i heard the voices. But that was all useless
"Lady Hui?"
I can hear my brother searching me with despair in his voice. I could tell his voice was hiding pain and fear. But beyond that there is also a hope. I could feel that.
"B..brother" I weakly spoke but I know thats not gonna help
"Su..ah" i tried to shout but my voice couldn't reach it's maximum sound but I know he heard as he responded immediately "LADY HUI?" He yelled on top of his lungs and I could hear the horses clopping
After a few seconds I saw him. My vision was blurry but I know he was scared. His face was frustrated and worried. I let out a small smile in relief
He soon jumped from his horse and ran towards me. He enclosed me in his arms and hugged me as if it's the worlds end. I weakly lifted my hand and wiped his tear
"Your nuts" he mouthed crying
I let out a small chuckle inspite of my pain and spoke weakly "I told you to trust me"
He gently lifted my in his arms and made me sit on the horse. Then he jumped on his horse and started to move slowly. He made sure I was safe and secured. His one hand was circling me while his other hand was on the rein
"We're here" he spoke gently in my ear after a few long time
I weakly opened my eyes and saw a crowd from a distance. It's the same place.
He got down first and then helped me down too
"Let me help you" he said gripping me
"I want to do it alone" I looked at him with a weak smile and he nodded smiling too
I slowly walked holding the pain within me and as I reached the crowd I heard the king speak
"She must have been dead by now"
My eyes welled up but now that I have come this far I had the strength to control it
"My beloved people" he continued. Each of his words firm and clear "it is time to prosecute the traitor"
My heart couldn't hold it anymore. He's not a traitor. My Prince is not a traitor. Anger surrounded me. I inhaled deeply and made my way into the crowd
People were speechless after seeing me. With heavy breaths I made my way through the crowd. Everyone moved away from me afraid of my blood stained clothes and by my pathetic state
The king was confused to see the crowd go all quite suddenly and when he turned towards where the crowd's attention was, our eyes finally met. He was shocked and furious and I could feel his anger from the distance
"You.." he stuttered being unable to believe his eyes as Prince Taehyung finally lifted his face
I saw him at last.
I smiled in a relief seeing his face. His face bloomed with joy and then he smirked seeing the King. I chuckled at his childishness. He was all bruised and beaten up hanging by the rope. But I was relieved to see him smile
He's safe.
My eyes again shifted back to the King "I'm hear my Majesty" I said with a smirk
