"Where have you been Lady Hui!??" I heard father yell right after I enter the grand wooden door
"I-"
"They were with me" the bold daring voice spoke from behind
We woke up early in the morning to leave that place just in case no one should see us. Queen had asked us to bring her to my father as she wanted to discuss certain things.
And as she came in, every single person in the room went silent. Father's eyes widened. General Jung and Yuri froze in shock. The other maids and the soldiers could never believe their eyes
"My apologies for making you worried" she spoke as she walked in
Everyone bowed kneeling. Father came near her and bowed "Welcome our beloved Queen. Long live"
"How have you been" she smiled
"I have been well and good" he smiled too
Father wasn't surprised. Not a tiny bit. It looks like as if he knows...

It is a sunny afternoon my hair waves danced along the chilly breeze. It was calm and silent. But not peaceful. I weirdly felt the calmness of sea before storm. I hope it is nothing.
"Lady Huiii!!" Yuri came in panting
"What's the matter Yuri ah" I tried to be as calm as possible even though I could feel something is off
"P..please come down"

"That means father you know!?!?" My voice creaked as I was looking at my Prince fighting his heart from breaking into a thousand pieces
"Father you already knew about our Queen?" My eyes couldn't control looking at Prince Taehyung on his knees near his mother
He is on the verge of breaking down any second and I could be of no use to him. My heart aches looking at him like this
The Queen is crying helplessly as if she can never forgive herself. And father looks apologetic as if this was not how it is supposed to be
"My little Hui" father walked near me and pulled me out "let them be alone for now"
I didn't fight back but obeyed and followed him to the main hall
"Father I don't care about me. But think of him" I spoke "at least he deserved to know that his mother was alive all these years" my tone changed
"That poor soul was performing rites for his own mother thinking she was dead" I started crying as I my mind automatically shifted to the day I saw Prince Taehyung weeping
Flashback:
"Ma" Prince Taehyung spoke weakly "how have you been?"
I was hiding behind the door hearing his weeping sounds wishing I could touch and hold him and say it's okay but I couldn't. I couldn't bring my self to comfort him in this situation
"I really miss you ma-"
I walked away without even giving the tea I prepared for him. I'm not prepared for this situation. I don't know if I could ever be prepared because I myself miss my own old family...miss the old days and everything else.
End of flashback.
"Lady Hui" father inhaled "I am sorry my dear I should have been more understanding" he looked pale "I have promised the Queen that I would never tell anyone. She wanted Prince Taehyung and everyone else to be kept in the dark"
"B..but he's her own son father"
"Exactly my dear" he smiled weakly "She knew he couldn't bare the pain if he was told to ACT like his mother was dead"
