It's a bright and gloomy day. With Prince Taehyung beside me everything seems so calm and still.
I was laying on Prince Taehyung's chest his long fingers untangling my straight hair. He was silent the whole time. But I know he was comfortable because I felt it.
But the silence didn't last long as Yuri came in crying. Pathetic.
"I'm sorry your Highness, lady Hui" she knelt and bowed seeing me and Prince Taehyung like this
I immediately straightened myself and sat up and so did he "raise up" he spoke in his hoarse voice
Yuri slowly stood still her head bent "sorry to have disturbed you I may come later" and turned to leave
"Yuri ah wait" I called her "what's wrong"
She couldn't control her tears. For whatsoever reason I don't know she started crying again and to hide it she tried to cover her mouth nodding a no to me
"Yuri ah" I went to her and hugged her from behind as she sat down weakly
Prince Taehyung brought the water jar from the small wooden table as Yuri bowed and spoke among her sobs "I am so sorry your highness you don't have to do this"
"What happened. Speak" he said making her sob more
"I..i.." she couldn't speak. Her voice muffled
"Yuri just tell what happened it is okay"
And with that she cried falling on my lap before she spoke "She.. she's here.." after a deep breath "what should I do Lady Hui?" She asked looking at me with her eyes full of tears
"Who-"
"He is getting engaged today" she said wiping her tears and straightening herself
Words couldn't fill my mouth to console her. She loves him. And he loves her. But they are worlds apart.
Just like us.
I looked at my lover weakly and thought to myself. I can understand Yuri so much that it hurts me.
It hurts me maybe because no one else can understand her in a way I do.
It is the most painful feeling to have the person we love right by our side and still be worlds apart. Just like me and him. He is like the sun and I am like the moon we both can never coexist together even though we are in the same sky
"General Jung" she let out a low breathe "what should i do now.." she looked lifeless
I couldn't help. I couldn't do anything. I simply hugged her tightly but I know that's not what she needs. She need HIM.
"Wipe your tears" Prince Taehyung ordered "fight for what you want"
Yuri looked at him lifelessly as if she has lost all her hope "It is already destined your highness" she cried "since the day he was born, he was meant for her. I am just a nobody in his life"
She was pale and heartbroken. I could see how much she is controlling herself from pouring out. I could feel how much she is refraining herself from going to her lover
"I shall stop the engagement" Prince Taehyung was worked up
"Your highness please no" Yuri held his legs pleading "It was his mothers last wish"
"But he is your lover" I added furiously "are you going to give up just like tha-"
"I don't want to spoil his future" she cut me "she's beautiful, wealthy and she.. and she has a family unlike me who is a no one.."
"Yuri ah" I hugged her "why are you talking like this" I cried
"I came here to bring you both down for the ceremony" she wiped her tears "please forget what happened here" she spoke her eyes looking down

After about 10 minutes me and Prince Taehyung went down. Father was talking with two well looking couple who must be the bride's parents. The bride was beautiful indeed but can not be compared to Yuri. She is unique like a snowflake.
Brother Jung was least bothered about anything that was happening around him. He was totally lost in his thoughts. Yuri was sad, her face dull and dusty. But she was helping around like the other maids
What's the most saddest thing is that she didn't even have the choice to be sad. She remained the same. She can not even afford to be sad because she has responsibilities and no one knows the pain she is going through and no one can know.
"Let us begin the ceremony" father spoke happily as everyone smiled
"I am joyous to let everyone know that my son has honored me to become a father-in-law" he chuckled "it was his mother's very last wish" he added his voice fading "on this special day I hope his mother's blessings will reach the bride and the groom"
"Thank you for accepting our daughter in your family" the brides father smiled "We shall fix the wedding date now"
