Strange Beginnings

"Stop now, and I'll forgive you." The figure standing at the other end of the alleyway was none other than Emilia, the beautiful silver-haired half-elf.

How did I figure that out, well it's pretty simple...  After I saw the victim of violence asleep, I took a closer look at his face and it turned out to be Subaru Natsuki from the anime Re: Zero!

I felt something rub against my leg and looked down to see Subaru gain consciousness. When he saw Emilia, she seemed to have put him in a trance. But recalling what I just realized, I'm now in a world where death can be anywhere at every corner, with powerful magic, crazy people, and cringe moments, in my opinion.

Emilia spoke up. "If you have my thing I will turn my cheek to whatever it is your doing." She made eye contact with us and we broke it. "A-ha! You looked away because you have a guilty conscience. Looks like I am still an excellent judge of character! Now, give me back my thing."

You sigh. Emilia was too ignorant to realize that she, an attractive female, made direct eye contact with two males, which will make them nervous and break contact. I mean what kind of guy wouldn't get nervous from her gaze? ugh, Women...

Puck vocalized your thoughts. "Umm Emilia, I think that it was an instinctive male reaction to avoid tension or rudeness."

'Good job Puck, Also I'm sure he can sense emotions so we should be fine.'

Puck continued. "Besides, I don't sense any hostility from these two."

Emilia intruded. "Be quiet Puck, now tell me who stole my thing." She demanded. It looked like she was losing her patience very quickly. I could tell her right now who stole it but that would make her go away and we wouldn't have the original plot.

Subaru was bewildered before asking, "What thing?"

"My insignia!" She exclaimed. Puck was trying to calm her down while I was thinking of a way to keep her occupied. That's when Subaru mysteriously collapsed bringing everyone's attention to him.

Puck noted his condition. "Hey, that boy just passed out from his injuries." Emilia stared at the boy for a while. "Well, I really need to get my insignia..." She thought about it and look like she was about to go again. "Yeah, it's none of our business....we can leave them here..."

Punk grinned. "But you're still going to help him aren't you?"

'I'm sure I already know where this is going but staying quiet the whole time would make me look suspicious. I'm glad that puck can't read minds...'

Timeskippu...

While Emilia was healing Subaru, there was an awkward tension in the air. So I decided to spark a conversation. "So I know that your name is Puck, So what's yours?" She looked up from the ground and stared at my face for about 5 seconds. But it felt like 5 minutes. "Satella, My name is Satella..." I immediately looked over towards puck and he seemed to be shocked as well. But his was genuine.

"Well, nice to meet you Satella." I faked a cough to make her feel guilty and looking back at her face, it definitely worked. "So this insignia, is it one of those badges that show your social status?" I already knew what she was talking about but decided to play along with the plot.

"Emilia bobbed her head. "That's a pretty crude description, but yeah, that's pretty much it. It is about this big, and it has a jewel in the center." She made a circle shape with her hand to show you the size. You nodded your head in understanding. "Well, I'm sure this boy saw the thief. Also, I seen someone running away from the direction you came from."

The definitely piqued Emilia's interest. "Do you have a description of their appearance?" She looked at you, menacingly.

"Yeah, I did get a pretty good look at them. It was a young girl about this tall with yellow hair and crimson eyes. The clothes they had on were a bit tattered, also she was wearing a red scarf..."

"Wow! very observant of you..." Sure she waiting for my name but just to make it even with me and Emilia, I gave them a fake name.

"I'm Reinhard Van Astrea of Luginica." I gave Emilia a smirk which made her fell even more guilty. Misson Succes. This is when Subaru finally started to awake... and me and Puck came up with a prank.

Timeskippu...

"Are you awake?" It was a high pitch voice entering Subaru's ears smoothly. Somehow giving him a warm feeling and maybe aroused him a little. He rubs his head on the surface, and comments, "Well, its kinda weird for a cute girl to be this hairy, but I guess it's fine." His eyes opened wide. "Wait, this can't be right!"

He jumped up and saw it was not indeed the cute girl he wanted, but instead a hairy cat.

"NANI!?"

Emilia was the first one to laugh the Puck followed and you just chuckle. "Who's idea was this!? i demand an apology!" Puck and Emilia immediately shot their fingers towards you.

"How could you!" You faked sadness which just made Subaru more angry. A little later you resolves the situation but Subaru was still embarrassed. then after a light argument with Emilia trying to refuse Subaru's offer, They went off to find the insignia.

Sure I could have gone too, but knowing that I'll get killed, I rather let Subaru take this one. I grabbed my bag and just followed close by. Man being able to know what going to happen is so useful. Imagine if I've never watched Re: Zero... Just thinking about it gives me chills.

While they were helping the lost girl, I trailed off towards a sign that said library. It would do me some good to get as much information on the language here before the first loop. Also, since I'm a unnatural phenomenon like Subaru, I should be able to remember the loops since I'm not directly connected to this world. That a just a theory though... A GAME THEOR-

If that theory doesn't happen to work, then maybe Subaru should at least be able to tell me about the loops. without the witch interfering... Well, I've been in here for about an hour light studying and I have to say, the language here is very easy! It really reminds me of Greek Meth-
