22. Seeking Help

Technoblade carried Ranboo outside and glanced around, 'Where the heck am I supposed to go?'

Ranboo kept mumbling between coughs he was trying to suppress and Techno tried his hardest to understand him. He heard the other call his name, voice slow and quiet. Techno tensed at the fade of his voice, "Ranboo it's fine. We're almost there."

The coughing stopped and he felt Ranboo's limbs slack in his hold. Techno listened as Ranboo tried to repeat him, but only one word was able to make it through. Technoblade felt the drop in his stomach, 'No no. This is bad.'

He had no clue idea where to go and Ranboo was dying. If that wasn't enough Phil was supposedly coming after them and Techno's head felt like it was about to fall off with all of these thoughts on his head. Saying he was thankful that the voices hadn't made an appearance yet was an understatement, he had to focus on Ranboo.

'Phil's infected, Ranboo's dying- because of Phil. The eggpire has control of Phil.' 

Thoughts raced through his head as he walked down the prime path. He couldn't make it to his cabin in time, Ranboo was tipping into the void of death, and fast. Even with his cape wrapped around Ranboo, he knew the bleeding wasn't getting any better.

He heard a small conversation ahead of him. He looked up to see Niki and Captain Puffy, 'Perfect!'

"Niki! I need help, Ranboo-"

"Oh my god," Niki gasped as she turned around, "What happened?"

"I'll explain once you've started to help him," Techno said, "Please."

Puffy stepped to Niki's side, "Niki, do you- are you working with Techno?" The pink-haired woman turned to Puffy, "Does that matter? Ranboo's dying just help me out!"

"Uhm well, our best shot is to go to my restaurant. I have medical supplies there but we need to go quickly."

Techno nodded and followed Puffy, all rushing towards the  Mc'Puffy building. It was a short walk down the prime path until Ranboo kay in the back of Mc'Puffy, with eyes closed and a cape wrapped around him.

Techno twirled his braid idly as he neared next to him, "Is he alright? He's not going to die?"

Captain Puffy lifted Ranboo, taking off the cape, "We've just started Technoblade."

Niki turned to Techno, she doesn't think she's heard so much emotion in his voice ever. She placed a hand on his shoulder with a frown, "What happened?"

"Phil," Techno mumbled. Niki's eyes went wide,  "Wait, is Phil dead?"

Techno shook his head, "Phil did this." She looked down at Ranboo with shocked eyes, "What? Why would Phil-"

"He's been infected. Phil's a part of the eggpire now." Techno glanced down at Ranboo and up at Puffy. She didn't take her eyes off Ranboo and didn't stop working, "First I have to clean his wound. Otherwise he might get an infection- not the egg's infection of course."

Techno didn't watch as Puffy did so, meeting his gaze with Niki's. She sat down and huffed, "I can't believe it. This is bad, like very bad. How 

did Phil manage to get infected?"

"He was taken by them," Techno said, "We tried to rescue him but clearly he's got them on their side now."

"When did they get the opportunity to take him? Did they take anyone else?"

The questions were becoming too much for Techno, he and Ranboo barely made it out there and he's still trying to process what exactly happened. So he tore his eyes off Niki and stared at the floor, "A lot has happened since we last met."

"You could tell me," Niki suggested as she looked down at Ranboo, worry clouding her gaze. Techno knew she was trying to be nice but it felt overwhelming, he's still caught up with what just happened, he's adrenaline pumping still and his mind spinning. Then he remembered, 'The eggpire knows where we live.' 

There was a possibility before that they knew the location, but it's not hard to find someone willing to pass notes for an evil group. But now the eggpire had Phil, he could be leading them to Techno's cabin at this moment. Techno stood up, 'Tubbo and Punz are there.'

Niki's eyes shot to him at the sudden movement, he waved his hand dismissively, "I have to go get Tubbo. He's at my cabin and now the eggpire knows the location."

Niki nodded and Techno spared Ranboo one last glance before walking out the building. Techno let out a low breath once the doors closed, 'A lot is happening right now.'

His hands still felt like they were gripping onto his sword and his feet still felt like he was running. The vision of Phil standing on top of Ranboo with a sword plunged in his chest made Techno's thoughts blurry. He never thought going on a rescue mission would end up like this.

Phil, his best friend, is now under the control of an evil and cruel empire focused on killing people. That Phil had stabbed Ranboo who was now lying unconscious in a fast food place, on the edge of death's door. It was a lot to wrap his head around, but Techno tried his best as he walked down the prime path. He couldn't run at the moment, he was so sure he'd just topple over with the speed of his heart and mind.

So he walked until his mind was clear and his heart wasn't beating fast enough to fling out of his chest. Now he was steady enough to pick up his pace, the eggpire could be on their way to his cabin right now.
