The six of them gathered around in the living room, an unmentioned layer of tension growing between them. To be fair, this was quite the team, full of many different people.

You had Niki and Techno, from the anarchist group Syndicate, planning with four people who each were part of their own country. Sam, who was working with Quackity and seemed to have his own personal issues with the Eggpire, nonetheless he was a great team player. Quackity, the president of an uprising country and Techno's enemy, perfect team member who also seemed to be getting tenser by the second as he ignored Karl and Sapnap who were running their own country full of mushrooms.

The team of the year, ready to beat down an empire of egg-loving killers.

"I have a whole country," Quackity said, leaning into the couch he, Sam, and Niki shared. "Just saying, I have citizens who could be of use."

"All we have is Purpled or Fundy. Foolish isn't gonna be willing to go around the Egg-"

"Right, because it took one of his canon lives." Quackity cut Sam off, waving his hand dismissively and rolling his eyes. "Well, Purpled is pretty good."

"And I think this team is pretty good. It's enough. Let's not drag in any others." Karl cut in, raising his hand as he gained their attention. "I'd appreciate it if we did this smoothly and quickly."

"Well fuck off Karl." Quackity shot back, crossing his arms. "We're trying to stop a force we don't even know much about. We have to be careful and prepared."

Techno mumbled something before pushing himself off of the wall he was leaning on and eyeing the scar on Quackity's face before turning away. "Quackity's right. As much as I want to rush in and easily beat them in pvp, there are many things we don't know. And it would be stupid to march in without a plan or any knowledge."

Niki and Quackity gave a similar reaction before slowly nodding, Quackity ignoring the huff that Karl gave.

"We also need to be careful about who we let in for this plan. People are getting turned to the Eggpire's side left and right." Sapnap added, glancing around the room from where he sat next to Techno, lingering on him a bit as if subtly mentioning Phil. Which Techno took notice to, mumbling in agreement with a small nod.

Quackity uncrossed his arms, sighing as he sat up from slouching. "It's just Purpled, he can be trusted."

"Because he's a citizen of Las Nevadas?" Sam was now questioning Quackity, facing him with raised eyebrows to which Quackity paused before shrugging with a "sure."

"Punz can't be trusted, he's part of the Eggpire-"

"I said Purpled." Quackity cut Sapnap off, a deadpanned expression that Sapnap just furrowed his brows at as he pointed at Quackity.

"I wasn't done, so maybe let people talk before tying to correct them-"

"Let's hear it." Techno cut their arguing short, sending a small side glare to Quackity who rolled his eyes to dismiss it.

"Punz and Purpled are really close, sure you guys say he helped you team against the Egg last time, but now Punz is with them. There's a high chance Purpled will join because Punz is there or maybe he'll turn against us when our plan is in motion just because Punz is on the other side."

Quackity bit his cheek, dramatically sucking in a breath of air as he ran his hands down his legs and looked to the side. "Well shit." he mumbled, turning back to face them. "Guess I don't have any extra support for you then."

"I don't know anyone either. Puffy said she's done being involved with all of the egg stuff, it's caused a bit too much damage for her and she's still dealing with that." Niki explained to the group, earning a couple of understanding nods.

Karl waved his hands around as he talked, clapping them together."That's fine- that's good. We don't need an abnormally huge team."

"And your reasoning for that?" Sam questioned, looking at Karl from across the living room. "More help would be nice, we get more supplies and more muscle."

Karl struggled for a second, eyes travelling across all of the room as he thought. "Communication could become a bit too difficult if there are too many people. Plus, it will be harder to manage secrecy- and I thought that was one thing we wanted."

"I think that's a good point." Niki began, earning a small smile from Karl. "It will also increase our exposure to possible traitors that are actually helping the egg out. We're looking for an efficient and well put together team, not an overwhelming and last resort filled team."

"Ok, that's..." Quackity trailed off for a moment, sparing another glance out the window. "That's all fair. But to be honest, we sort of are a last resort. We are the last resort team."

Sapnap chuckled lightly at that. "That's pretty true. I mean, we've got an anarchist and a president that hate each other teaming up for this."

"And two weirdos who live in mushrooms and just love leaving-"

"We are a somewhat strange team." Sam cut Quackity short, side-eyeing him as he continued. "But we have a plan in the making and I'm sure it's gonna work."

"Did trapping the egg in obsidian work?" Techno asked, raising an eyebrow with a smug smile that made Sam stumble for a second and Quackity hated to admit that he had to hold back a smile of his own at the comment.

"For the most part." Sams stated but it sounded more like a question as he rubbed the back of his neck. "But look- we just have to continue planning and figuring this out."

"Agreed." Niki added. "So we all good on the size of this team? I think we shouldn't be searching on teammates and rather just thinking of a plan." she held a hang out, waiting for the answers.

Karl was eager to agree, sighing with something like "Finally- that's what I've been saying."

"Sure," Quackity said with a shrug and Sam nodded along. Sapnap agreed with a long sigh, mumbling something to himself before Techno was agreeing too.

"Now, Sam and Karl," Quackity began, leaning towards the table between the two couches. "You two said you somehow got some info about those egg fucks-"

"About the egg, not really its followers." Karl mumbled, tilting his head to the side. Techno hummed, leaning back in his seat, "Same thing. Both info that we need."

Quackity gestured out to the dimly lit room. "So spill it. What do you have for us?"

Sam started to speak, gaining their attention as he and Karl shared what they knew as a plan formed between the six of them. Sapnap saved his questions about how Karl knew for after, right now, they were all busy thinking about a great plan that would defeat the egg.

And surely it would work.

A//N: Shit- sorry it's been a while. But I'm back :]

(Also this story started around when Techno got locked in prison on the dsmp so in this story Dream is still in the prison- just so you know. It's also very canon divergent.)
