28. A Common Enemy

Technoblade rushed around the main area of the server, searching for Ranboo. Tubbo and he had just split ways in hopes of finding the half ender more easily. He had no clue where to look, the only thing he knew was the general direction Ranboo had set off in. So to say he was a bit stressed was very much true. Ranboo couldn't really be walking and running around, he needed to be seated so he could heal. 'It's not like Phil just stabbed him or whatever.'

"Technoblade?"

The voice calling his name made him stop, blinking out of his thoughts. He had almost completely forgotten that they are other people on the server, too busy worrying about all of the things that had happened recently.

The grip on his sword tightened as he turned around, tilting his head in confusion when he was met with Sapnap.

"What do you want?" he asked, gritting his teeth in hopes of covering up the absolute stress he was under. Techno watched as Sapnap let out a chuckle, looking to the side for a moment.

"I just saw you and you seem in quite the rush."

'Shoot- Ranboo' Techno turned his back to Sapnap, about to walk off as he gave a wave. "That I am."

"Wait- Technoblade I need to tell you something." Sapnap started walking after Techno, stepping back when the other turned to face him. "It's about the Eggpire."

Sapnap didn't miss the way Techno bit his cheek and his brows furrowed. He sighed, crossing his arms. "I saw that they took Philza away. Punz kinda forced me to be there, apparently, he's part of that whole... Egg group."

"Yea and now Phil's one of them."

"Oh- I'm sorry Techno. I really had no other choice-"

Techno cut him off, once again trying to walk away. "Yea, yea. I get it. Now I'm leaving."

"Just listen, the Eggpire has me and my friends' lives in their hands. They took Philza from you-"

"And then Phil stabbed Ranboo and now he's out here."

"Well, shit- that's bad," Sapnap mumbled, clearing his throat. "But the point is the Eggpire can't be going around doing any of this without some consequences. We both have something against the Eggpire here, why not work together and stop those idiots once and for all?"

Techno hesitated, looking down at the hand Sapnap was offering. But Sapnap was right, the Eggpire has done way too much damage without paying for any of it. So Techno nodded, shaking his hand.

"Pro omelette?" Techno grinned at Sapnap, holding a hand up with a shrug. Sapnap just scoffed, clearly confused, "What's that?"

"Eggpire anti's, Pro omelettes, same thing."

"Oh, yea. Then totally."

"Now, since we're going to be working together," Techno began, this time walking with Sapnap. "Mind telling me what the Eggpire did to you?"

"Well, they're trying to force me to work with them. Otherwise, they'll just kill Karl, George and Tina. Which is fucked up but it's no joke. That's why I was there that one time."

"That is pretty messed up, I'm sorry man."

"But hey," Sapnap smiled as he faced Techno. "We're gonna beat those suckers."

"We will, but first I need to find Ranboo," Techno said, once again the awful feeling of worrying about his friend coming back to him. "Then we can come up with a plan."

Sapnap placed a hand on Techno's shoulder, who was too focused to bother shrugging it off. "We're helping each other, so we'll find Ranboo. Not just you."
