Awful, the feeling of your best friend passing away was awful.
Although you at least knew they weren't suffering anymore it still hurt.

You didn't want to go into work but you knew you had to. You needed the money badly, and maybe seeing 049 would cheer you up a bit. Even if it was only a small bit.

Sighing as you got out of bed, you got on your work outfit and gathered you paperwork you needed to turn in to your boss.

It was a painfully long drive to work, memories of your dog being happy, healthy. You felt tears start to fill your eyes, (dogs name) was your best friend, you were basically on your own now. Alone. No one was there for you to help you with their passing, not that you wanted to worry your coworkers anyway with your problems. So you had your moment in your car.

Taking a few moments to compose yourself, you had gotten to work an hour early. Having hope that work would distract you for the time being.

After a few minutes you got out of your car and gathered your things and headed to work.

As soon as you got into work your few friends tried to make conversation with you but you just simply stated that you needed to get to work. They thought nothing of it, assuming you had a lot on your plate. And you technically did, just not all of what they thought.

Once you got to 049s containment cell you got to work, you weren't the only one who worked hands on with 049 but you were the only one who had stayed alive as long as you did.

You were basically on auto pilot, doing everything you had to do before you did another interview with 049, they wanted you to get more personal information from him. You didn't really wanted to do that, your relationship was actually well known around the foundation. And everyone was using that to their advantage.

After a few hours of work you set off to start the interview, you had gotten there a few minutes before you were ment to but that ment you had time to talk to him about anything without everyone else butting into your conversation or listening to every work you said.

"Hey 049" you said as you walked in and started setting up, he noticed pretty fast that you were upset. "Hello dear, how are you?" His tone was fairly soft, not like the normal way he spoke.

"Livin the dream." You said sarcastically. "What might be troubling you?" You paused, not too sure if you wanted to tell him. "..my dog just passed away not too long ago. It's just.. upsetting and I feel like it's stupid to be upset over such a small thing.." You really couldn't keep a secret from him, he'd find out one way or another. He quickly pulled you into a hug and that's when you just started sobbing. It was painful, you felt like nothing was going to be the same as it was. You wanted to just go home but you also didn't because your dog wouldn't be there to greet you, no more hugs, no more walks, no more dog parks and playing with your baby puppy. It felt like your would was burning down around you.

But right now, all you wanted was to stay in this moment forever.
