After I saw Colt at the airport, I made the decision to stay at LA.

"Too late, you have to stay the year." Mom and Dad said.

Leaving Colt was the biggest mistake I had ever made. We were meant to be with each other. He loves me, I love him. I couldn't ask for anything more. But, why? Why did I always feel like I never belonged with him? Who knew.

My junior year was terrible. Classes were just going over what I had already learned in my sophomore year, everywhere I went someone just had to come too, and prom was a total bust. I couldn't wait for summer when I could finally return to LA.

"Grace!" Colt yelled as I stepped off of my plane.

"Colt!" I was so happy to be home, in LA, with everyone I loved.

I spent my senior year back at Los Angeles High School. I got to spend lots of time with Jessica, so we had grown pretty close that year. That was also Colt's first year at the University of Michigan, where he'd been studying for college.

Graduation was pretty awful for me. I didn't know what to do most of the time, except for stand around by the punch bowl. I spent the night with Jessica. That was pretty fun.

But senior year wasn't what made that my favorite year. That summer was absolutely my favorite. Dad was finally finished directing and Mom had finished teaching art for a while. We could all spend time together as a family for once. And best of all, Colt came home.

Of course, whatever we did Colt's family tagged along on and vice versa. I felt like everything was finally falling into its perfect place.

There was something else that was special about that summer. I just couldn't tell what. Colt kept a secret from me. He kept saying, "You'll find out soon enough."

We went out to dinner almost every night. I kind of had a routine. On weekends, I would wake up, meet Colt at the boardwalk for the day, the come home and watch movies with my family and his.

But now it's time to stop reliving my happiest times and continue to pack. I was going to Juilliard on an acting scholarship. I'll be 3,000 miles from home and 1,000 miles from Michigan and my boyfriend.
