"Haley, got any plans Saturday night?"
"Nope. Why?"
"I was wondering if you would like to go on a date. I made reservations to Giovanni's."
"That extremely high class Italian restaurant? Colt, you're the best boyfriend ever!"
"Thanks."
"So what made you do that?"
"Do what?"
"Make the reservations."
"Just thought my girlfriend wanted to do something special that's all."
"Oh and before I forget, after our Christmas break, the Sundance Film Festival is going to be in New York. I have two tickets and I want you to come."
New York. Film. Grace! I couldn't say no to my girlfriend when she had those puppy dog eyes. But I also didn't want to see Grace. But, what are the odds I'll see her at a film festival?
"Sure. I actually used to do a little bit of acting myself."
"You? You acted?"
"I never said I was a good actor."
That got a laugh. "So you'll definitely come with me?"
"I'll mark it in my imaginary calendar."
