I remember everything in perfect memory. The sirens. The paramedics. Colt.

What I didn't remember was why I was in a hospital bed. One second I'm in my bed, the next I'm laying in a hospital bed with everyone leaning over me.I decided that I wasn't fully awake, not yet at least. I listened instead.
"What happened exactly?"
"...just a normal conversation..."
"...might've killed..."
I slowly opened my eyes.
"Gracie!" Everyone shouted.
"What?" I was confused.
"Grace, how long have you felt this way?" My dad asked.
"What?" I was really confused. I was totally fine as far as I knew.
Layla spoke first. "You basically just got diagnosed Bipolar."
"Bipolar? Umm I'm fine."
My mom spoke next. "You better explain right now!"
"Mom, chill. Let me talk to her. Everyone else out." Layla bossed.
Once everyone left, me and Layla had a quiet conversation. "What happened? We almost lost you."
"Why don't you tell me what happened."
"I remember coming home and just wanting to be by myself for a little bit."
"Uh wait a sec. A little bit? You didn't eat for 2 days! There's a reason for the IV in your arm!"
"2 days?! I was numb like that for two days!?!"
"Yes!! Mom got a locksmith to unlock your door so I could talk to you!"
"Oh... Well after that I only remember the sirens and paramedics. Now here we are."
"Hold on." She picked up her phone. I didn't even realized it rang. She handed it to me. "It's for you."
"Hello?" I said into the receiver.
"Grace! I was so worried!"
I almost shut down again. But decided against it.
"Grace?"
"Colt, I think we should just take a break. For now. I haven't broken up with Barrett either so."
"Okay. Just call me soon?"
"Okay. I will. Bye Colt."
"Good bye Grace."

The doctors let me out without having to take bipolar medications. That was a plus side. I spent my summer with Jessica. Barrett even came down for the final week. We spent most of the time at the boardwalk.I probably should've spent more time with my family, but they seemed to be glad I wasn't all depressed in the very least.

My final year at Juilliard was okay. Nothing spectacular like the Film School collaboration and nothing boring either. (It was Juilliard, full of performing arts.).Barrett spent that summer with me at California. On one of our dates to the boardwalk, we took a walk along the beach. I was looking watching the waves collapse near our feet and it happened.
There he was, Barrett Hope, on one knee with a ring.
