Saving Grace: The Second Story

Chapter 9

Barrett had rehearsal schedules all made up for the actors (actually I made the schedules for him.).

"So we aren't going to rehearse today?" A girl asked.

"No, I thought we could just look over the lines and try to know more about your character." Barrett replied.

"Oh okay."

"I will however be going through the lines with you one on one. You may practice with another person on your lines if you'd like though."

"Oh okay."

He called the guys first. I was the final girl he called.

"Hey Gracie. You like the script?"

"Love it. I just wish I wasn't a fashionista in this film."

"You'll do fine. Just act. That's why you came here right?"

"Stop being so smart."

"Sorry. I can't help wanting the most beautiful girl to play a fashion person."

"As much as I want to be mad at you-"

I was stopped mid-sentence. I've know him for 2 weeks and he was already kissing me. Not that I'm complaining. It was a good kiss.

"Barrett I-" I was speechless. Was I really falling in love all over again?

"I've gotta go. The Directors are supposed to leave soon."

Rehearsals were starting tomorrow so I knew I would see him soon. I went back to the dorm.

"Hey Alice."

"Hi! How were the Directors and film stuff thingys?"

"Umm, I don't remember. I'm in Barrett's film though."

"How do you not remember?"

"I got distracted!"

"Ooh, Barrett distracting you from your art?"

"Sorta. He kissed me today before I left."

"Dude! You've known each other like what? Two weeks? He must really like you!"

"I think we should break up. But after the film is over with."

"Why? Did something happen?"

"No. I just don't want to get hurt like I did with you know who."

"Grace. If you like him and he likes you don't let go of him over a stupid fear. Didn't you say this happened when you met you know who?"

"Yeah..."

"Don't repeat your mistake. Now go to bed. It's late."

"You're always up late."

"Just shut up and go to bed."

"Fine."
