Me and Barrett were almost inseparable the next couple of days. We both couldn't stop thinking about the film festival.

The day couldn't have come slower. When it did, the day dragged on. It wast set to start until 5:30 PM. I showered and got ready around 2:00. I wore a royal blue fitted dress that came to my knees with a black cardigan over it and a big white statement necklace. Alice gave me some white earrings that matched my necklace and some silver bracelets. I curled my hair and had Alice do my makeup that made me look the part of a fashionista.

Barrett picked me up at 4:30. We arrived at 5:15 and took our seats. The actors and actresses and directors had to go backstage for a bit since we were getting introduced. We still didn't know which film was picked from our school.

One by one, a professor walked on stage and introduced the director and cast of the winning film followed by the losing directors. Our schools were the last ones to be announced.

The Film Academy professor spoke first, about the people who actually had the ideas and made most of this happen. Then my professor talked about how the actors and actresses couldn't have done a better job in portraying the characters. I was just waiting for the winning director.

They both spoke together, "Our director project, representing Juilliard and the New York Film Academy, is... Mr. Barrett Hope!"

He walked on stage and couldn't be prouder. Us actors followed steps behind. We took a bow and proceeded to our seats.

Each film was played, one after the other, with a break in between for the directors to give a short speech on how the idea came to mind. There was a total of 50 films that would be playing tonight.

Our film turned out greater than I imagined. It was edited to perfection and the angles were all perfect.

There was a long break so the judges could score the top five films.

"You did a great job directing the movie."

"Great job."

"Wow, that was amazing camera work."

Compliments came left and right to Barrett. I was with him the entire time and people complimented my acting skills as well.

I couldn't believe it when I saw Colt Hanson walking towards me with a girl hanging onto his arm.
