I went home a little bit past noon the next day, to find that Will and Dad had left last night.

Mom, Layla, Colt's mom and I decided to have a girls' day. We went shopping, got our nails done, and all of that stuff.

I still had more to pack so I also finished doing that. Colt needed help with being more organized so I helped him finish his packing.

"Ready?" Mom asked. Today was the day of my departure. I couldn't believe I was actually going to a college like Juilliard!

"As I'll ever be." I actually wasn't even that scared. My parents don't know this, but Colt was coming with me for a few days.

Mom and Layla drove me to the airport at 1:30. Once I boarded the plane, I put on a movie, only to fall asleep 10 minutes later.

When I got off the plane, I looked for directions to Juilliard. New York is full of mean people, by the way. Where is Colt when you need him? I found my college after about an hour of blind searching. It was 4:45.

Juilliard is pretty scary when you get there. Everything is just so big! I shared a dorm with a girl named Alice. We both arrived at about the same time and picked sides. I got the right, she the left.

First thing I did, I was unpack everything that had arrived to me. I had my coral and blue comforter set that I put on my bed, my office supplies which I threw in random drawers of the desk, and my clothes and shoes and accessories that I put up first. Along with that, I had my favorite pictures to hang on the wall, some organizational items for my desk and dresser, and my bathroom items which would just sit in the corner until I could put them to use.

"Wow, you work fast." Alice had said. I had already done most of my unpacking and it was 10:00. "I haven't even put up my clothes!"

"I've kind of always been a little over achieving."

"A little?! We need to plan something to do together. It's too late right now, but how about tomorrow?"

"Sure, but I might have to have a friend tag along if that's okay."

"Whatever's fine with me. You staying at the dorm or going somewhere?"

"Leaving. You?"

"Same."

We both left at that. I called Colt and Alice called a cab.

"Hi." A voice called.

I didn't know what to do, so I walked. Bad idea. Scratch that, terrible idea.

"Wait, where are you going?"

I hate drunks. I always told my friends that if they ever saw me incredibly drunk to hit me with a bat until I wasn't drunk anymore. I walked even faster when my miracle showed up.

"Gracie!!!"

"Colt!!!"

He enveloped me in a hug. I kept trying to push him towards his car; I'm just too weak.

"What's the rush?" He realized a strange drunk guy hobbling over to us, slowly. "Oh."

We drove off to his hotel, The Empire. I couldn't believe what I was seeing as we got to his room. "Wow." was all I could say.

"Thank my dad. You hungry?"

I didn't realize it until my stomach grumbled like crazy, but I was super hungry. I spent so much time unpacking, I somehow forgot to eat. "Starving, actually."

After getting room service, (which was a burger for Colt, a salad for me, and a chocolate mousse to share. We also got sparkling water.) we just talked and laughed like old times.

"I'm gonna miss you. I have to leave at the end of the week." Way to ruin my perfect moment, Colt.

"I don't wanna think about that right now. I just want to enjoy our time together. Oh before I forget, me and my roommate, Alice, were going to do something tomorrow. Wanna come?"

"Sure. Anything as long as I can spend my time with you."

It was now midnight and I was tired. I fell asleep laying on top of Colt, like a little kid on their parent. And that was my first night at New York. Not that bad, if I do say so myself.

An explanation

Sorry to anyone who was looking for another chapter! I've just been pretty busy lately and I will be next week as well.

I plan on just writing a whole bunch of chapters and publishing them whenever. If you have a different and better updating idea, just tell me in the comments.

Sorry once again!
