As the day came to a close, we couldn’t figure anything out. We were asking people who got the picture to give us the number of who sent it (but not many were handing it to me, sadly). We thought we could trace who sent it like that, but we just kept going around in circles. Steph and the others were working hard, but I gave up when no one was giving me any information. Seriously, just because the rumor was about me doesn’t mean everyone should hide their information from me! This was getting really annoying.

Another annoying thing that kept recurring throughout the day was Elliot and Annabelle. For some reason, every time I saw those two, they were always making out! I didn’t know if it was just me, but they kept sucking face all day. It was rare to see those two apart. Was their attraction to each other that strong? Really? It was so sickening.

Anyway, the day continued with no progress to fixing the rumor problem. The rumor mill had been working overtime, and I’d been getting a lot of dirty looks, but oddly a lot of girls kept asking who Alviss was. It was hard to answer, since I didn’t want to call him a boyfriend and saying he was no one would imply I was being a whore. The day was horrible and all I wanted to do was go home and stay there, where no one could possibly bother me.

“Hey, Kora?” Steph asked. We were finally in her car, ready to go home. Our plan was to just drop me off at my house, since I just didn’t want to be around people. Plus, it might be a good idea to keep my grades up, even if I was a senior and I really didn’t care all that much anymore. “Can you give me Alviss’ phone number?” My eyes glanced at her, completely confused on why she would want to talk to Alviss. “I was hoping he could give me Daniel’s number.” I saw Steph give a soft smile, obviously wanting to see Daniel again. It couldn’t be helped much. He helped us get out of the mall yesterday with the stalker, and those two did look like they clicked easily. I grabbed my phone from my purse as Steph thanked me, and texted Alviss.

“Steph wants Daniel’s number.”

I hit Send, then went back to sulking in the car as Steph drove to my house. Somehow, I didn’t like how I was already texting Alviss. I was almost positive he was going to react and say something funny to it, and I really wasn’t in the mood for it. It occurred to me that breaking up with Elliot felt like the right thing to do; no, it WAS the right thing to do. But all of this was just too much. I seriously had just finished some major stalker drama with Steph, and now I was to go through what I predicted to be the worst week of school. Ever.

My phone vibrated, telling me I got a text. It was Alviss. “Miss me so much you had to send a text? :-P” I knew it.

“No, just Steph wants Daniel’s number. Now give it.” I texted back.

A minute later, got a reply. “I will if you admit you miss me :-)”

“GIVE ME THE DAMN NUMBER.” Yup, I was in such a bad mood, I used all caps. When I sent that text, we had arrived at my house. Steph had to go, but Alviss still hadn’t sent the number, so I made a quick decision to give Steph his number.

“You sure you wanna give me his number?” she questioned.

“Yeah, that way he can actually give you Daniel’s number, and you can help me make him regret not telling me the number in the first place.” I looked at Steph and gave her a devious smile. She returned the smile with one of her own, relishing the thought of bothering him like crazy. The two of us were really scary, sometimes.
